BIG UPDATE!!!!
Long time no post!
The last year and a half has been pretty crazy. I’ve had some pretty intense disability issues (among other things) but I’m not going into a lot of detail because I just don’t have the spoons for it. Just know it’s been a long struggle but I’m thankfully back into a good place now.
Now, I would like to address the current allegations against Neil Gaiman and the future of this blog…

So, as we all know, there have been some pretty serious allegations against Neil Gaiman. Just know that this blog believes and stands with survivors of SA. Kitty Kendall has actually released a statement which I encourage all of you to read. It will be linked below. Also, if you can, please donate to your local domestic violence center to show that you stand in solidarity with the survivors during this difficult time.
That being said this blog will no longer be active following this post. I’ve really debated it because I wanted to make a come back following my hiatus. But I just don’t have it in me to engage with much Sandman content as of this time.
I am a survivor myself and while I may not be taking what has happened as hard as some others have (my heart goes out to you) I just don’t have it in me to create more content. The flame is just gone.
To be clear, this is not a condemnation of those who continue to create content or are still passionate about The Sandman. A lot of other people have worked incredibly hard on the show and the comics. I honestly think it’s tragic that they will likely have to distance themselves from these works following these allegations. Despite everything, you cannot deny that Neil Gaiman is a great writer.
But I think for some of us it feels tainted now and we need time to recover. I’m not going to throw out my comics or anything like that. But I do need time to breathe and process. Especially after the year I’ve had.
That being said, a big thanks to all of you who supported the blog while it was active. I’ve made some great friends along the way and my time with this fandom was something I’ll never forget. And to those of you still struggling, know this: You are not alone.
