“pssst,” went the undertone of a soft, nearly inaudible voice. “you think you can help me with this one math question?” lola pointed the heart-shaped end of her furry pink pen at one of many simple division problems— that an average seventh grader would probably be capable of. “i would use the calculator on my phone, but i’m scared they’ll take it away from me.” she stated in a half-truthful manner. julio was like a child to her, but lola was also feeling bored sense of desperation to have a conversation with someone in here; and while she had never been given a detention before, not to mention that it was only fifteen minutes in to the session, her social and talkative spirit was already starting to get irritated.
