Moving to another country, at a young age, isn’t easy and you learned that the hard way. Your family was poor and when your father received a job offer that could possibly change your lives, he didn’t have a choice and needed to do what he thought was best for his family. So you packed your bags and moved to California at 6 years old.
At first, it wasn’t easy because you didn’t speak English but eventually you learned and you were able to start looking for jobs since your dad’s work paid most of the bills but it wasn’t enough. One of your dreams had always been to become an actress so you went to auditions and finally, you were cast as one of the lead role in a movie. At the age of 12, you became a child actor and that’s how you started your journey towards Hollywood.
This journey is also the reason why you met the love of your life, Zac Efron. You were cast at 18 in a movie with him where you played his love interest. One thing led to another and soon enough, you found yourself catching feelings for your movie partner. You tried to forget about it since he was a bit older than you were and way out of your league. Which is why you were very surprised when he told you that he felt the same about you.
‘‘ Wait, are you serious? ’’
‘‘ Yes Y/n of course I am. ’’ He ran a nervous hand in his perfect hair.
‘‘ How long? ’’ You asked him confuse.
‘‘ I’ve been crushing on you ever since the first day I saw you. ’’ His cheeks were red and he couldn’t hold eyes with you showing how nervous he was to confess his feelings to you. You couldn’t say anything so you decided to show him how you felt. You grabbed him by the hand and pulled him towards you. He wrapped his arms around your waist and you wrapped yours around his neck. You had to pull away when you couldn’t breath anymore. He chuckled before kissing your forehead.
‘‘ I see the feeling is mutual.’’ You laughed before pulling him in another time.
This is how your love story began. Everything with him was perfect. He always made sure to tell you how beautiful you were and how much he loved you. He would try to come back to you as much as possible when he wasn’t filming. Everything about your relationship was perfect except for one thing : the fans. A lot of girls had been in love with him since the beginning of his career and knowing that he was taken and that they couldn’t end up with him made them mad. They posted a lot of hate comments on your social media telling him to break up with you that you were only a poor girl coming after his money. You tried not to be affected by it but sometimes it was hard to ignore it since some messages were really cruel.
‘‘ Are you okay babe? ’’ He knew how his fans could sometimes be cruel towards you and he hated that the girl he loved was hurting.
‘‘ Yeah... ’’ You wiped a tear away.
He smiled apologetically knowing that anything he said couldn’t make you feel better. He sat next to you and pulled you into his arms so he could hold you close.
‘‘ I love you and nothing they say will change that because you and me, baby, it’s forever. ’’
‘‘ I love you too Zac. ’’
That moment made you forget about the comments for a little while but it wasn’t long before it came back. Fortunately, you had a movie coming up so your mind was going to focus on something other than the hate. It worked for a couple of months but as soon as you finished filming, it all came back. It had became so big that it consumed not only your personal life but your professional as well.
You and Zac were doing a press tour for one of your upcoming movie together and your final destination was in your country especially in your hometown. You were excited to show Zac were you grew up and present him some members of your extended family he hasn’t met. During a live interview, you and Zac were talking to the interviewer and everything was going perfectly fine until he asked his last question.
‘‘ So Y/n, I see that you are receiving a lot of hate for your relationship with Zac. Do you think the hate might break up the two of you? ’’
His words left you cold and ashamed. Their words had followed you across the world all the way to your hometown. It also scared you. Would people really keep going until the two of you broke up?! Before you could answer, Zac spoke up.
‘‘ No, I don’t think, actually, I know that the hate won’t break us up because Y/n and I are made to be with each other. Also, she is the most amazing and talented person I have ever met and I am lucky that she wants to be with me. Nothing can make me change how I feel about this girl because my heart belongs to her. People say that she doesn’t deserve me but it’s the contrary, I don’t deserve her. So stop sending hate messages to her because other than hurting her, the plan to break us up isn’t going to work and it never will. ’’
You were crying at his words. He had never told you how he truly felt about the hate you were receiving but now that you knew what he thought, you fell even more in love with the man sitting next to you. Zac smiled at you when your eyes met and he took your hand in his.
The interviewer was shocked, not expecting that answer from him, but he smiled at the lovingly couple he had in front of him before asking another question following the one he had previously asked.
‘‘ Zac, would you say you found the one? ’’
‘‘ Oh yeah, she’s the one! ’’
Looking at him, you knew that you had also found the one for you and that nothing could break your relationship because you were meant to be together.
