The divergence points of Deltarune is as much or more about the kids sinking into the dark world - the land of fantasy - than any "good" or "bad" ending. (Also why Toby Fox was nervous about Omori.) I also think the Titans and most of the mysteryman storyline will only be plot points if the player engages with them.

My Illustrations for an incredible short story written by a good friend of mine: a tale of two rival clans settling a debt, in a trial by blood and fire….

“The two clans gathered as the singing moon set, leaving its brother framed by the indigo of dying day. There was little discussion, only lines of tension across antennae and heads holding violent eyes. Only the occasional, nervous trill from a child broke the silence.

The clan to the southeast, those of the Tayenna river, parted to allow their matriarch forward. Like her kin, her fur was near the color of the clay riverbank they lived upon, lightly flecked. She was richly adorned with polished shells set into lattices of wood running along her chest and back, treasures many years of leadership had afforded her. She stood in front of her people, canting her head so only one red eye observed the clan opposite.

They of the Keeshor valley bristled at the arrogance. Their leader was already at the front, as bay as Tayenna’s matriarch, though his coat was solid in pattern and youth, and he wore simple paint. He took several solid strides forward to meet the matriarch, both eyes fixed on her….

hey. I had an epiphany and am mostly abandoning tumblr in a personal capacity. I have a few projects I'm working on that I may come back to let you know about but yeah. DM me if you want discord info. A little extra info below cut.

I don't like the way i interact with people online - without my irl filters I can be...extremely obnoxious. I'm working on fixing that, but that also involves curtailing my exposure to tumblr and the cycle of funny-sad-anger inducing etc. I also spend too much time here and am much happier without it.

thinking about Pokémon Go Summer (again) and how it likely blew up so much because adults finally had an excuse to Go Outside And Play in a way that met them where they are. Like, over time the ever-present threat of public humiliation/being filmed for some bastard's TikTok has done such a number on folk that some can't just relax and goof around and express themselves anymore, limiting their outdoor play to organised sports or maybe a yearly game of Frisbee In The Park. But to have an excuse to be playing outside on your phone? Something literally everyone is doing all the time? With a globally recognisable and easily accessible media property? Having a reason to be curious and explore your local surroundings, and talk to strangers in your environment, even if that reason is something as trivial as "there's a Dragonite over there"? Inspired. World-changing. Shame Niantic fucked it so hard
