BRIAR ISN’T GOING to admit that she’s upset not yet, at least. it’ll take a bit more thought, a bit more evidence that things downstairs are all unraveling opposite to how they were supposed to. maybe if they’d assessed their problems when they’d spiraled out of control they wouldn’t be sitting alone in the dorm tower, listening to the pulsing music from below. she gives a small chuckle.
