found a NBW that looks almost identical to the first wolf I ever befriended... though kinda like they’d been down a chimney
I had to have him even though I have no place for him so he’s currently a solo hunter until he gains enough levels to be a mentor
Finally got Maugrim a Lunar background to match his paws and it got me thinking that I like the idea that wolves with Lunar qualities only show said qualities when in the Dreamlands
so on the top left is what Maugrim would look like to his pack members normally, and on the right is him in the Dreamlands where his Volkros heritage is very apparent
and on the bottom, Grim normally and then Grim in the Dreamlands where his melanism is hidden and you can see his Moonlight coat
I’ve ended up breeding two very similar looking wolves but I only have space to keep one of them so now I have to decide which one I prefer which is really hard when they look so alike
I got my friend into Wolvden and within about 4 hours of them making an account they’d reached the top of the fishing leaderboard

White Fang and Woe - Stalker and Finisher - Arrogant and Sarcastic
White Fang is definitely the brains behind the hunting party. He has a keen sense of smell, honed after years of practice. He arrived in the pack one day, battle-scared and reluctant to talk about where he’d come from, but since then he’s dedicated himself to his new family.
Physically, Woe is the weakest of the hunters - and yet the rest of the team seem to defer to them. Whether or not it’s their aura of hidden power or just their intimidating nature is hard to say. Nevertheless, they do occasionally show a softer side, like the time they took Maugrim under their wing and became a father figure to him.
Kavik, Kiba and Koga - Northern Star Chasers - Precise, Vulgar, Precise
Kiba is one of the stronger wolves in the pack, and definitely the most skilled of the Northern Star hunting pack. However, being the lead chaser means he has to be in charge of the other two. Kavik and Koga deeply enjoy pestering him and lovingly teasing him - or as he would put it, annoying him - but despite their slightly grating behaviour, they’re an incredibly good team.
They were some of the first to join the pack, so they’ve spent many years together perfecting their technique. Kiba is approaching retiring age, and as much as he won’t admit it, he will deeply miss running across the mountains with his two best friends.
“I think I found our new scout! I saw him just... running through the snow.”
“What was he running from?”
“I don’t know... he doesn’t really say much.”

Maugrim’s first puppies have been born! they’re nothing super special and I’ll prolly sell em all but I do kinda like the white one
my breeding male, Maugrim, has finally grown up! He’s going to be the finisher in the second hunting party, but the rest of said party are still adols, so unfortunately he’s gonna spend the next six months mostly shagging until he can actually start working
