{ned was fun. I miss ned.
towel (coming back with a bang~
send “towel” for my muse’s reaction to seeing yours in nothing but a towel
Olive jumped when she saw Ned, looking back down at her towel and pulling it tighter around herself. “Hi, Ned…”
Olive couldn’t help the deep blush on her face as she also reached down to pick up the towel. She avoided Ned’s eye as she picked up the towel, also taking the sweater.
Once he was sure that Olive was once again fully covered, Ned turned back towards her, a crooked grin barely visible.
“Well, I suppose that was about as awkward as we could have hoped for,” he commented with a weak chuckle.

Olive jumped when she saw Ned, looking back down at her towel and pulling it tighter around herself. “Hi, Ned…”
Olive gripped tightly onto the towel, avoiding looking at Ned. She glanced up for a moment, seeing the sweater in his hand.
“Oh. Um. Thanks.”
She slowly walked up to him, reaching with one hand to take the sweater from him and holding onto the towel with the other. Suddenly her hand lost hold on the towel, it slipping from her grip.
If Ned was red faced before, his face was comparable to one of his cherry pies by now.
Eyes widened, he tried to allow Olive to keep her pride, although it proved easier said than doe.
“... towel..” he finally managed to sputter, reaching down to pick it up, keeping his gaze fixated on Olive’s painted toes.

Ned immediately averted his gaze, ears burning bright red from embarrassment.
“Oh.. I should have knocked... but the door was unlocked and I assumed that.. well rather I didn’t assume that..” he rambled, looking everywhere but the pie waitress.
Clearing his throat, he shook his head and produced a bright blue sweater.
“You..um.. you left this downstairs...”
"These things do happen."
“These things don’t always happen.”
“Why are you asking me this?” She crossed her arms, frowning at him.
“What-- oh!” Ned blinked several times, as if only just noticing the woman standing there. “Sorry.. I guess I was talking out loud... I mean, of course I was talking out loud- all talking is done out loud,” he rambled, shaking his head. “But I was saying my internal thoughts out loud, which is not usually how it’s done...”
“....Did you want pie?”

Ned shrugged his shoulders, his feet shuffling beneath him. “I mean, you can be in love with someone and then love someone else too...but that doesn't mean you stopped loving the first person at all..”

" Find a new best-friend."
Ned frowned as he turned to face the pie waitress. “Find a new best friend? W-why?” he stammered. He crossed his arms, leaning against the back of the counter.
"Wait…. you’re leaving?”
"I can’t just stay."
Ned frowned, nodding slowly. "Where will yo go?"

"I.. I thought you guys went out for lunch a lot? And you spent time with her the other day," Ned countered, furrowing his brow.
"It’s not about just her! I like her. What I don’t like is you and her. Together.”
"But we are together, Olive… we are together and that isn’t changing… I can’t change how I feel.. but that doesn’t mean I don’t care about you..”
