Lufthansa used up to five dedicated Boeing 737 freighters - the only Boeing 737-200 non-advanced in Lufthansa's fleet ever - on international freight services within Europe during the day and domestic mail flights at night.

Convertible Boeing 737-300QC (Quick Change) took over the job from the 200Fs in the 1990s and 2000s, and presently, Lufthansa Cargo uses passenger-to-freight converted A321P2F for the intra-European freight part of the business. The overnight mail flights in Germany however have been suspended for good in the early 2020s, with trucks and high-speed rail services offering express delivery.
