the unintentional (?) symbolism of how trevor’s most iconic jamieposting is on his instagram stories aka disappears after 24 hours no trace of it. and jamie’s one trevorpost is an instagram post and he is the only nhl player featured on his entire instagram. the relatively more frequent jamie stories with an undercurrent of laying in a puddle of your own blood vs the singular trevor duo picture completely frozen in time. it’s safer to post on stories then only the people who really keep up with him know about the jamie importance but his permanent posts will remain carefully curated and new teammate focused ever since joining the flyers. and maybe it’s because jamie has gone social media dead and it’s just not worth the irrational sting if he were to post and then not get any interaction from him. i don’t know man. but something happened last summer when jamie came to visit and go to shoulder check and it just wasn’t what either of them expected
