London Daze ((@Bert))
There were these strange...machines, that rolled past, making loud sounds. They were metal and slightly alarming. Tall, rectangular buildings, houses, perhaps, but none that she'd even seen before. They were made of bricks and wood perhaps, not stone like she was used to. They were very well kept though, and beautifully decorated. She found them charming. The streets were really incredible. They were....made out of stones and bricks, it was like nothing she'd ever seen before. It felt really different to walk on, much more demanding on her feet, even through her good boots. Kayley wandered aimlessly around the streets, mouth agape at her surroundings. There was almost too much to take in at once. She wasn't really sure where she was, how she got there, or where to go from there...but she also didn't mind. It was exciting! Kayley felt a smile forming on her lips, this was amazing!
She saw an area almost completed enclosed with strange metal posts. They were so tall and...menacing looking...but the enclosed area enchanted her. It was a strange juxtaposition, but she took the challenge. There were flowers planted in little garden plots, bright and cheerful. Little yellow and purple and pink things, Kayley thought of how lovely they would look woven into a crown. There was a large, open, wooden building in the center. It had seats and tables inside, and a couple steps leading up to the 'inside'. She skipped over to it and trailed a finger down one of the wooden beams supporting the structure. It was carved with little letters and shapes. "Ow!" She yelped, drawing her finger back and pouted. She'd given herself a splinter. "Silly..." She muttered to herself. She knew better. But everything was so different! She couldn't help herself.
A little farther into the park she saw a young man, but she couldn't quite tell what he was doing. But he was one of the first stationary people she'd seen. Everyone else had been hurrying along. The few people who did actually look at her gave her odd, disapproving looks before continuing on their ways. She was mostly unperturbed, but she hoped this man would be nicer. She did stand out, her clothing much too bright and not quite....in style. Still, she felt cheery, in this odd land, and she nearly danced over to the man. "Excuse me?" She cocked her head at him and grinned. "Can you possibly tell me where I am? I've been exploring-" She pointed vaguely over her shoulder, "And I seem to have lost my way. This is a delightful kingdom. What do you call it? Oh, and who are you? I'm Kayley. From Camelot. You must have heard of it. It's one of the greatest kingdoms in the entire world! Lead by King Arthur." She giggled. "I'm sorry, I'm rattling on again. So, can you tell me where I am?"

A New Kind of Adventure ((@Garrett))
It was so...different...yet, felt perfectly natural...this was her new life. Kayley had never focused on settling down and getting married, but here she was...married. And, even more surprisingly, she was happy. She was laying in bed, next to Garrett as he slept, thinking about how much her life had changed. She loved watching him, the way his uneven bangs fell across his face as he slumbered. His soft, even breathing. He seemed so much younger...softer when he slept. He was so strong and stoic all the time, it melted her heart seeing him this way. It was so personal and she felt such a strong connection to him. She shifted slightly, moving herself into a sitting position. She drew her knees to her chest and her mind began to wander to yesterday.
The wedding had been beautiful. A small affair, intimate was really the word. Just a few close loved ones. On their land, near the cliffs where Sir Lionel had been laid to rest. Garrett looked handsome as ever in the deep blue that the knights wore, smiling nervously the entire time. For once in her life, Kayley had no objections to wearing a dress. Cream and white, with a wreath of flowers for her hair, she looked lovely. The vows were honest and sincere and it was almost all she could do to keep from crying. Their first kiss as husband and wife nearly took her breath away and she hoped she'd remember it for the rest of her life.
And now, their first night together over and it was their first real day as a married couple. It was a thrilling thought, almost scary and definitely exciting. She wasn't really sure what she was supposed to do, if anything. Was there a rule-book for being married? She played with her auburn hair, twisting it into a braid over her shoulder and mused to herself, "I suppose I should make breakfast or something." Kayley wrinkled her nose and tried to stifle her laughter, "I'm sure he'd be unhappy her took me to be his wife if I did..." She sighed contentedly thinking of that word. Wife. She was his wife. A bashful smile tugged at her lips and she didn't fight it.
Slowly and gently Kayley leaned over and brushed the hair out of Garrett's eyes and whispered into his ear, "Good morning my love." She hesitated before placing a chaste kiss upon his lips. "Wake up please, you've been sleeping forever. I'm lonely." She whined playfully, smiling all the while. "Come, let's do something. The sun is shining and it's a beautiful day. Help me with the chores so we can play on the sandy shores of the beach. Doesn't that sound lovely?" She asked dreamily. "We can make little castles and splash in the water. It'll be like when I was a child, with Father. I think you'd enjoy it." Kayley finally took a breath and sat with wide eyes, eager for the day to begin.
"Meeting new people is always interesting, and Garret is back?" Thervan asks with an eyebrow raised. "My job as a ... courier keeps me rather busy. And it has it's fair share of danger. Most of the time involving something that wants to eat, or kill me."
Kayley nodded and smiled, "Yes, he's decided to come and live at the farm, with me. And yes, learning about different places and new adventures that are waiting comes with new friends! It's so exciting. I've heard about Spain from Jaquetta." She was bemused at the courier comment, "Why I didn't know you were a courier. You must travel to many fascinating places. Is it nice?" A look of horror passed across the girl's face, "Eat you? How terrible. Thervan...is your job safe?" Kayley fiddled with her tunic and bit her lip in worry for her friend.
I worry I don’t do my character justice.
"I have been very busy my dear Kayley." He gives her a warm hug before continuing. "I am doing well, as is Drake. I have missed you as well. How have you been?"
She smiled cheerfully. "Oh, busy? Anything interesting? I am glad you and Drake are doing well." She thought for a moment. "Oh, I've been rather well. Sort of bored at times. Not much to do...around the farm. Just chores." She giggled, "But I've met this very interesting girl. And Garrett's back!" She sighed happily and swayed back and forth.
