It's time to start again 10/9/15
I left my powerlifting gym about 2.5 months ago and it’s been a struggle ever since. I’ve been nothing but depressed and down. I’ve turned to food and not the good kind, I’ve eaten my worries away. It’s hard to get out and do anything and I just feel like shutting the world out. Conventional gyms are so hard compared to a powerlifting gym. I can’t motivate myself to go and if I do go I get bored within 20 mins and want to leave. I could tell I was changing bc my jeans were getting a little tighter and my face a little more plump. I saw myself in the mirror and immediately felt the horror. My 4 pack abs are turning into flab and my ass wasn’t as perky as it always had been. It’s time to change. It’s time to get my head out of my ass and stop feeling sorry for myself. Only I can change me and it’s time to do so. It’s time to start again for me and ONLY ME!
Hmmm to shave? Or to not shave? That is the question.

Oatmeal Banana Muffins! These are one of my favorite snacks and they are super easy to make.
Recipe:
3 bananas
1 cup milk (I used skim but pretty much any other kind will work)
2 eggs
1 tbs baking powder
2 tbs honey
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 cups old fashioned oats
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Blend bananas in a blender (or you could just mash them, but I’ve found blending them makes the texture a lot smoother), then mix ALL the ingredients together in a large bowl.
Spoon the batter into a muffin tin, then bake for 20-30 minutes. The edges will be a bit brown and they should be firm to the touch.
Let cool then enjoy! You could also add chocolate chips, blueberries, strawberries, etc. to the batter, but I like them plain.

My first crossfit competition
Paleo Flourless Chocolate Chip Cookie
Ingredients
1 cup almonds
1 cup pecans
1 large egg, room temperature
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons raw honey
¼ cup chocolate chips (Enjoy Life)
pinch of salt
Instructions
process the almonds and pecans in a food processor until creamy and smooth like peanut butter
mix the almond/pecan butter with the egg, vanilla, honey and salt
gently fold in the chocolate chips
spoon a tablespoon of the batter into a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 350°F for about 15 minutes or until the edges start to turn brown
let cookies cool on a wire rack
Recipe makes 18 cookies. Store in an air tight container.
