Loop Year

The music of the Night Squirrel. One new song written, recorded, and posted per week for a year. As the title suggests the challenge was originally to post a loop every day for a year, but I was getting stuck in the loop. Begun December 30th 2014. An exercise to encourage creativity and try some new techniques.

All sounds from an acoustic guitar and contact mics through assorted effects. Looped with Electro Harmonix 45000 and mixed down into computer.

Pocket Piano/Moog FreqBox and lots of pedals. MPC with random drum samples. Looped on Electro Harmonix 45000 and mixed live into computer with software reverb and compression.

Many guitar tracks (via lofi junky, DD3 and boost RVB) and two tracks of MPC drums (which I made with a Xiosynth) into EHX 45000 looper .  Mixed into computer with reverb and compression.

Many layers of Critter and Guitari Pocket Piano into Electro Harmonix 45000 looper.  Compressed and slightly verbed in the computer.
