Today is a sad day… im officially getting rid of all my old middle school and freshman year of Highschool art that was on procreate….

Unfortunately I had to clear a lot of space up on my device and procreate held a lot of that space from all my old artwork, so I’m posting everything here so that I can continue to look back on my old art!

I made this painting for my mom, but I was actually inspired to create a piece like this because of Makima from csm. Before I even began this painting I had imagined creating a work of art that depicted Makima surrounded by water, I imagined the contrast with her red hair and was immediately hooked. Then my mom ended up commissioning me a piece of art, where she wanted the woman in water after she was inspired seeing another piece of art in a museum somewhere that she wanted my painting to have similar vibes to. I decided this would be where I finally followed through with my plan to paint Makima surrounded by water. Once I started the painting though, I rewalized it would probably be weird to paint makima for a painting for my mom, especially one of this scale, so I decided to just make the woman a random red head. So in conclusion this painting is the way it is today all because I wanted to make an art piece of Makima surrounded by water lol.

TLDR: this entire painting was based off of an idea I had of a cool scene to paint Makima from chainsaw man in. The woman was initially supposed to be Makima then I changed it to a random woman because this is a commission for my mom. 💖
