"Stormboyz are rebellious young Orks who drill regularly, march in step, salute the boss Orks, and even polish their jackboots."
32 years later I finally finished painting mine. These boyz have been bouncing around in my painting kit partially painted since 1994. Recently I looked into finishing them again, but I was missing a couple of jetpacks. I looked on eBay and metal ones were selling for $55 a piece! So I paid a couple of dollars for an STL file and printed two of my own that worked quite well. Both the figures in the backpacks are heavy metal, but the arms are plastic as they came from that multipose arms era of the 1990s. These composite models always feel so fragile, especially so with these since they're so heavy from the backpacks.
Finally, all of the Knights Three designs are updated!
Sir Richard, a skilled warrior from Lancelund famous for his ferocious fighting style with two swords and the signature white wolf pelt.
Lord Eric, heir to the duke of Hornwood. A flamboyant young noble with a fondness of tourneys, good booze and a company worth sharing it with.
Lord Raven, the successor of the late duke of Corwynia. Fairly skilled with the sword, yet knowledge is his primary weapon.

Imperial Knights Codex cover painted for Warhammer 40,000. I love painting giant robots and it was great fun working on this project.

Hey guys, Last summer I attended the Games Day Germany for the 4th time. After years of talking about entering the Golden Demons I never managed to enter anything, until this year! I decided to paint something relatively simple (ie. no conversions) to avoid running out of time once again. Now I do have to say that I painted this miniature in about a week, due to me slacking once again. Unfortunately my model didn’t get through the first cut, but I didn’t mind. My goal for this year was to finish something for the Golden Demons and actually enter something - and now I did - I do feel proud of my accomplishment. Now this model is supposed to be a Harlequin-inspired Wraithguard. My initial idea was to do checker patterns throughout the model. However, due to my limited timeframe I decided to skip that. This model was quite a challenge because I never actually blended a miniature before, so with a lot of trial and error the blending came out quite well. Once again, I’d like to know what you think! :) PS. Can you guess how many gems this model has? CoolMiniOrNot link
Mondrian and Idka in the refugee ship hold. Not pictured, 1600 baselines pressed against each other doing everything they can to be at least 10 meters away from these guys. As the weeks-long journey progresses, they get humanised, but never non-scary.
Mondrian would be wearing his helmet here, but i wanted to show you his face so just pretend it's on. Idka gets sick in the warp so his would actually be off. They have powered down their armor to dodge auspex scans, and spend as much time as possible sleeping in shifts to conserve calories and make the ration bars last the full trip. If one of them goes into starvation triggered suspended animation, that would be BAD. if it comes to it, Mondrian will halve his own rations and start eating baselines, but he would prefer not to.
Idka's face helps humanizing them to the refugees. He looks younger than 30, not so different from the boys conscripted from these people's families. He's just, so big. and terrifying.
Mondrian isn't ready to think of himself as a renegade, or a refugee, just yet. They are still Black Templars. he is still a chaplain. he has to be.
