I NEED GAME
I think it's awesome when people kiss. like hell yeah. go eat eachother up
Fuck you Poland
I wouldn't be happy to receive points from mass killers tbh
I've been ignoring my family for a few hours because they're watching Eurovision. (Rant regarding Eurovision, the BBC and my ethics.)
It's been a tradition for a while and it's one of the few things that give my mother joy so I'm not sure how to approach this. She does know.
She just prefers to ignore any issues such as Israel's ongoing participation.
And Azerbaijan but no one talks about that as much... As a reminder: Azerbaijan is known for several human rights violations and continues to violate human rights by suppressing peaceful protests, torture and impunity for the torturers, discrimination against women and LGBTQ+ individuals, etc.
They're laughing and having fun downstairs and all I can think about is Palestine and Azerbaijan. All the people in Palestine, right now, hurt or dying or dead. Everyone suffering in Azerbaijan.
The main point though is that my mother refuses to acknowledge any of it. If I bring it up, she tells me to not ruin it for her and to shut up (albeit more politely).
It's frustrating to talk with her sometimes because her worldview can generally be summed up as 'care about yourself, friends and family but not the rest of the world' whereas mine is 'care about everyone, fuck splitting ourselves into groups, this Earth needs fixing.'
My sister and mother have been trying to get me to vote for Finland but I don't want to use the money on my debit card to fund Eurovision when they continue to support Israel and Azerbaijan. My sister's angry with me but she's a lot younger. I don't think she entirely understands yet.
On a similar note, I don't want to support the BBC considering all the transphobic and anti-immigration rhetoric that they've platformed. Plus, their support of Israel by not leaving Eurovision. Hence why I'm not promoting any new BBC things that you can't access for free.
I'll still support older content and other BBC media that's available for free because I do want to support creatives and creativity. In the survey the BBC had about... a few months ago, maybe? They asked about the usage of AI. As in, using AI for creative work. All the options were pro-AI so I had to use the 'Other' option.
I'll try to promote more independent projects though.
She reminds me so much of old Evanescence for some reason.
Sweden...
Had to reblog even tho Felicia knew her lyrics
The dancers are stealing the show AND my heart
Reading the fifth book and this may be an unpopular opinion, but can Bluestar just die already? I kinda hate her now, she's so annoying. I understand the trauma but she's not fit to lead in that state at least "dethrone" her. She's become so mean
It’s extremely fucked up that some ppl try to make you feel stupid and immature for hoping for a better world. You say you want world peace and mfs think you need a pacifier; dawg, I just don’t want ppl dying from violence. This idea that ppl simply must die as casualties of war is misanthropic to say the least.
Fuck the city I miss the forest
Lived this
"Why do you talk so much about being intersex?"
Over 90% of parents of visibly intersex children opt for cosmetic surgery on their infants.
The ones that don't experience medical violence then, likely experience it as a teenager.
I didn't.
I am very rare in that I did not experience medical violence.
Why? Because I learned what intersexuality was as a young age, and I actively fought against what doctors wanted to do to me. All the way down to legal research on what medical care minors can be forced into. I remember walking into that doctor's appointment with the state law written down that proved that if I did not consent they could not do surgery.
That is why intersex activism is important. It saved me and it will save more.
I may be obsessed
I'm reading TBC for the first time and every time Rootspring says something about being weird, this is all I can hear in my head. hes the Jughead to me.
