Schwontkowski is considered one of the important representatives of contemporary figurative painting and a master of pictorial compression. Often kept in dark, earthy tones, his pictures convey a feeling of melancholic seriousness, which also have bitterly humorous motifs. His poetic stories are never told to the end. There is a human being at the center of his pictorial world: looking out the window searching, speeding in a car in a tunnel or jumping from stone to stone - always in danger of slipping and getting lost.

the fact that i have an incomplete 5k chapter that brings some levity and some closeness and some yearning after 40k words of heartache, alienation and sort of miscommunication… and still wonder if it’s too soon… like 40k of friends to strangers isn’t enough… like it needs 5k more… like they need more pain to earn their happy middle and ending… and it wouldn’t even be the beginning of the end, it would just be a glimpse of light, of could be, of see i love you see i could love you see i see you now… come back to me, come home... at least for a while…
This is literally what people are talking about when they say AI will be used to mainstream widely held bigotry. LLMs are trained on frequency and probability -> straight relationships are more well represented in the dataset -> straight pronouns and terms become the "correct" normal.
This is a form of backdoor bigotry from both normative facts (there are more straight than gay relationships) and well represented bigoted beliefs (men are superior to women).
Combine this with the mass of people inclined to believe (and being encouraged to believe) that if AI says and does something it must be correct
It's also ableist. In the story I'm working on, there's a character with one eye, and the grammar check constantly tries to correct my sentences to her having two eyes.
Same with a character who's an amputee. Grammar check insists that he has two hands. He's gotta have two hands. Every sentence in which I refer to him using his hand and I use 'hand' singular and not 'hands' plural? Wrong. Correct that shit.
Fuck off. My characters have been injured, they are disabled, and they don't need to be fixed on any level, least of all grammatically.
