What's your favorite part about fall?
(The sweet release of cooler weather. Also being able to put on clothes that cover me all cozy without dying from the heat.)
Since the character cap got raised, do you have any ideas for new characters you'd be interesting in taking? Or just headcanons for characters in general?
(Gosh I… I don’t know if I want more than two characters right now, and even so I don’t know who I’d pick. Like I have general ideas but I haven’t committed to anyone yet.
Sird is a character that interests me. She’s the kind of character who loves to get her hands into everything, so she’s definitely a good character if I wanted to get overreaching story arcs going that other people can react to. On the other hand idk if I’m ready for that level of… Storytelling? Responsibility? I don’t know if I’d be able to keep up with all her plotting. Or if other people would appreciate it, for that matter.
On the other side of the character spectrum, an actual non-Rocket, I really like Tierno. He’s such a cute character and I love his focus on dancing despite his body type. It’d also be interesting to explore his pokemon teams using the various “dance” moves and how they can translate into battling while he’s in Team Rocket. Not to mention I got it in my head that he’d be on a quest to capture pokemon, or at least see pokemon, that know the various dancing moves. His ultimate goal is seeing Cresselia perform Lunar Dance.
I also have another OC, Damarus, who is a scientist in Pokemon behavior. Originally I was against bringing him here because I didn’t like the idea of changing his personality enough to have him being in TR make sense. Well I was wrong and I thought about it some more and… I kind of like Evil!Damarus.
I have them just kind of… there in my muse limbo but I haven’t felt like plucking anyone out.)
Biggest roleplay pet peeve?
(I’m going to agree with someone else about this one and say shadowplay. I didn’t even know there was a term for it but BOY LET ME TELL YOU I’VE EXPERIENCED IT AND THEN SOME.
It was back in the days of RPing on AOL, and I was doing some general fantasy stuff at the time. I was pretty cool with trying out RPing with new people but there was this one girl who went beyond simple shadowplay of a small action or whatever. She tried to dictate who my character was, and what they were going to do for the RP, and I had to put an end to that. Honestly I feel bad for people who feel like they have to RP with people like that. It is not fun. Like seriously, go write a fanfic if you’re going to control characters that aren’t your own to that extent.)
(edit: TINY TEXT ON DASH POSTS AND BLOGS WITH TINY TEXT I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT STAND IT)
(I'm open to questions while I try to get some replies done.)
(I did the quiz thing for Gio and Canidae out of curiosity.)
(Oops I forgot the third row, I think everything on there was pretty low?)
Sadistic
Your test scores suggest that your personality style entails: That your internal contrasting perceptions of self-worth cannot be resolved by your own thoughts on the matter, but must be taken out on your surroundings in order for you to gain a clearer perspective of your own self-worth. Internally troubled, you resolve your intra-psychic conflicts by acting abusively and explosively towards others. You are harshly punitive and abusive and always ready to impose pain on the people who question the justification and legitimacy of your self-serving behavior.
(I know this certainly applies to Giovanni with how he acted during the games. So I guess even if he appears to be a changed man, he still has a long way to go...
Canidae on the other hand... Equally Compulsive and Depressive, and I took the quiz twice to be sure. )
Hoenn Homecoming | Giovanni and Ariana
Being the Boss of Team Rocket had plenty of perks. One of which was provided transportation. There was no need to purchase plane tickets when you had access to your own personal aircraft. A company helicopter was used to get Ariana and Giovanni to the new base in Hoenn.
The helicopter followed Hoenn's coastline, providing a scenic view of the jungles and beaches. Occasionally they could catch glimpses of flocks of bird pokemon in the trees, or a pod of water pokemon in the ocean. However, even as they entered the bay where the base was supposed to be located, there was no sign of it.
"I made sure we took some extra measures to conceal the base. Watch that area over there." Giovanni told Ariana with a grin, nodding towards the window as he pulled up a radio.
"This is your Boss speaking." He said into the radio. "We're coming in for a landing. Drop the camouflage until we're touched down."
Within the minute part of the jungle began to shimmer as if heat was distorting the view. Then it faded, the jungle trees disappearing to reveal the base that it was hiding.
Was it necessary to drop the camouflage to land the helicopter? Absolutely not. The pilot had the tools to land safely. It was Giovanni who wanted to make a show of it. How could he not? It was whole new base, built to his specifications, like a giant present and he felt the need to show it off.
Soon the helicopter landed and the door slid open. Giovanni stepped out and offered a hand to Ariana to help her step down.
"Welcome to the Hoenn base, my dear."
Would you care for a bit of fun, Kiko? Here. *Hands her a couple of arrow tiles.* Feel free to use these for the rest of the day. I'll need them back afterwards, however.
"Thank you Boss Man I’ll be sure to put these to good use~" Pause, "Though I’m not 100% sure what these things do….."
"Allow me to explain." Giovanni had a spare tile in his hands, and proceeded to demonstrate as he spoke. "The tiles, when activated and placed on the floor, will force a person to spin in the direction it's pointing in. Like so..."
After setting the tile up and pointing it at a nearby wall he stepped onto it, causing him to spin in that direction until he came to a stop at the wall.
"The velocity isn't enough to hurt anything. Just as long as someone who is sensitive to dizziness doesn't step on it."
He chuckled lightly and stepped back over to turn off and pick up the spare tile.
"Have fun with it."
while I was still drunk I thought this was a very good idea to make
aw yeah
Whitney was covering her face for this one. "Okay, Boss... so... I don't really know much about this Thursday thing, but I was told to tell everyone that Milky here-" she stopped to motion to the costumed Miltank accompanying her "- is the almighty ruler of the world and then demand sacrifice." The bright red of her face could be seen from behind her hands.
"It’s generally something I don’t participate in, so don’t feel like you have to. Hm?" Giovanni followed her gesture to look at the Milktank.
"Is that so? Well, I would hate to show dishonor to a queen." He said with a smirk, deciding to humor her since he was in a good mood today.
"I’m afraid I don’t have much on hand at the moment besides my tiles. Take another one. …You know, I wonder if using the tiles together with a Rollout attack will have any effect on its power? If you get the oppertunity to test that, please let me know what you find out."
Shauna, would you like to see something interesting? *He hands her two arrowed tiles.* After you put these on the ground and turn them on, it forces people to spin off in that direction. Have fun
"Hi Monsieur, what’s th—"
“Ohmygosh that sounds super fun like a really fun spinny slidey thing with no angles or anything CAN I KEEP IT????”
"For today, yes, but I'll need those back by the end of the day."
Covering the Essentials || Giovanni and Emma
It took a few seconds for Emma’s brain to catch up to the language. For one, she wasn’t expecting Italian from Bossman, and damn near mistook it for random-ass English. But as soon as the language thing clicked, she had to then wonder if she’d said anything else in other languages. And possibly what else he knew. Like, was she going to have to worry about speaking in her native tongue now? She looked down, smiling slightly at the Coke itself, and just kinda… pretended that never happened. Nope.
She actually kind of wanted to just devour the information about Team Flare. Anything Looker had been hiding from her was automatically interesting. But as soon as he said a word she didn’t understand, she inwardly winced. Keep it cool, she reminded herself. Just keep it cool. This was The Boss she was sitting in front of; the less dumb she managed to look, the better.
Mimi turned her head, her eyes wandering to the trinkets in the room. Although she was looking away, she did happen to be the bearer of good news. «Don’t worry, Emma, I think he kinda told you what it means! So you’re already super, super, cool!»
Emma leaned into the papers, glancing over pictures, mostly, because she was too lazy to even pretend to read. Lazily, and maybe a little bit skeptically, she left Mimi a Thanks for the complement? in her head, but otherwise tried to just… pay attention. These guys did kinda dress like Dr. Xerosic, so… maybe this was true. But he had also turned himself in, so what did that mean? That he disagreed? Felt bad? …Well okay, she definitely knew he felt bad… thinking about this was starting to confuse her more than help, actually.
"O-kay…" Even though Emma had no real reason to be hesitant, it was almost starting to weird her out, how pleasant he was being. Although, now that she thought about it, she didn’t know why. The first time they’d met, he’d been perfectly chill and… fuck, she did not need to be thinking about bosses with jackets off right now.
Emma’s eyes looked between the chart and the man drawing it a couple of times. She’d just moved from not being sure which to focus on purely for literacy reasons to having to actually try to keep the attention even. At the back of her head, she could hear Mimi projecting her name in a warning tone, which meant… great. She was busted by the psychic. Okay, I’m paying attention.
She picked the paper up mostly out of courtesy. Although Emma didn’t have any solid proof that The Boss knew how little she could read, she pretty much assumed he did. He already knew every damn thing else, and she already knew she couldn’t trust Boss Lady to keep her mouth shut. Still, she bothered to try. Based off of what he was saying, that was “grunt” at the bottom, which she guessed is where she was, and… Wait…
She lowered the paper a little bit, shooting Bossman possibly the first visibly skeptical look of the conversation, despite her many hesitations. “My suit an’ my choosin’, huh?” File those two things under ‘too good to be true’, because at this point, Emma wasn’t exactly jumping at his word choice. Not that this was the most miserable she’d ever been or anything, but she’d experienced such a jarring lack of freedoms that she practically knew that had to be an exaggeration.
Emma's skepticism was not lost on Giovanni, but he did not look bothered by it. She had a reason, he knew, because of her start here in Team Rocket.
"As I said before, it'll take time before the suit is safely usable. When the becomes available then I will see to it that you be given access so I can see just what you are capable of with it. Then we'll go from there."
He shifted slightly in his seat, signaling a shift in the conversation.
"There is, however, something that needs to be addressed." It was a subject he avoided at first, but there was no point in staying away from it any longer.
"I am aware that you can't read, Emma." He said, getting straight to the point. "It's very important that you learn how to. A lot of the work that gets done here must be recorded in writing, either on paper or on a computer."
Giovanni kept his tone even so that hopefully Emma wouldn't think he thought she was dumb or annoying. In fact, when he had first met her he thought she was good company. He also felt a sort of kinship towards her, since he too had grown up on the street for a time.
"Team Rocket can provide you with a teacher. If you want to succeed, you will have to learn. As you learn how to read and write, you can then train in some of the more..." He paused, thinking of how to word it. "Fun stuff. Things like combat skills, with and without pokemon. Or anything else that may interest you."

A blog you’d love to roleplay with
Hmm… Well as Giovanni he definitely needs to RP with the rest of his Executives. Can you believe it? I still haven’t done proper threads with Archer, Proton, and Petrel. Oh yeah! And I'm supposed to do something with Sapphire too!
Canidae needs to interact with more people too. I feel RPing with everyone using her is more doable (Gio’s a guy with an inner circle what can I say?). Rodger is on the top of that list because I’ve known the RPer for a long time and we need to thread together again.

"Just Business" || Sylvia & Giovanni
"Always arrive fifteen minutes early… unless you have a good reason to believe you are in an undeniable position of power.”
This was one of her father’s words of advice that Sylvia would have preferred to discard. However, she found that in this situation it was the only advice she could possibly lean on, because the business aspect of it all was the only part Sylvia could imagine wasn’t terrifyingly unique.
The environment was the same. The hallways were unchanged, the messes were about the usual, the grunts wore the same uniform, and no major positions had shifted. The atmosphere, however, was different. And maybe that was Sylvia’s doing. After all, if the only thing here that had changed was her herself, who was to say how much of her perception had changed along with her? Certainly not this girl. She wasn’t so emotionally perceptive.
What Sylvia did know was that the nerves couldn’t be trained out of her. Years of education and months of heading a company hadn’t taught her not to be nervous; just how to hide it. Today, she didn’t even bother hiding them with a smile. Sylvia stole a glance at her watch, wearing impatience as her mask, and catching the brief attention of the door attendant. The fact that she looked away immediately dictated that her general opinion of Sylvia was that ‘Giovanni would be ready when he was ready’, and this was just the reaction the teenager had anticipated.
Tic tock, Giovanni. There’s only so long a girl can keep up an act.
Sylvia looked back up at the sound of the door opening, and not a moment later found herself invited in by the very woman who side-eyed her. It would appear that her host was ready. Quickly, she glanced over her suit, assuring that her pencil skirt was as straight as its namesake and there was nothing out of place on her jacket. Of course, Sylvia was pretty as a picture, but checking was simply part of the routine.
As she passed the attendant, a soft “Thank you” left her lips. Despite her upbringing, Sylvia never could quite grasp the notion of ignoring the help. Not that she really saw much of a difference in service, or anything.
Sylvia drew a smile onto her lips the moment she approached the desk. It was one she was very used to wearing by now—for the press, for her parents, for anyone who’d ever worked for her. Sylvia had always been so sweet and courteous to everyone… it was almost a wonder her Mother still saw through it. Extending her hand, Sylvia took the opportunity to be the first to speak. “Good morning, Mr. Sakaki. Thank you for seeing me.”
That morning when Giovanni went over his schedule there was a name he hadn't expected to see. A Miss Sylvia Rose, the very same one he recalled handing over to her father in exchange for a new building. Yet here she was, scheduled to see him personally.
Giovanni did his own research in preparation to find out what had happened in those months in between. So since she was the one with the power, and the money, she decided to come back to Team Rocket on her own?
What an interesting turn of events. He was curious to find out what she wanted.
The Boss looked at his clock and saw that it was time to let her in. Precisely on time, not a minute more or a minute less.
He stood up from his seat when she entered, and met her extended hand with his own for a shake.
"Good morning, Ms. Rose. It's no trouble at all. Please, have a seat."
Giovanni returned to his seat behind his desk. The Boss postured with professional attention, his arms folded in front of him and resting on the edge of his desk.
"I'm curious to know what has brought you back." He said, wasting no time in giving Sylvia the opportunity to get to the point of her visit.
About Forty Years of Trash - Giovanni and Mercede
Mercede did not show up to collect on her offer the next day, or even the day after that. In fact, it was weeks before Giovanni saw her again. She had come up with enough excuses to avoid him- aches, pains, the common cold, Mew experiencing some kind of soda overdose. But now the only excuse left… was that she was afraid. Afraid of what, exactly? Of messing it up? Of making things worse than they were before? Of him?
"Hell if I know," croaked Mercede, commenting on the narrative. She paced around her room, which had stayed somewhat cleaner than she had implied or intended, selecting an outfit. Over the years she’d gotten used to wearing the same once-nice blazer and skirt every day without variation, but this was a special occasion, in a way. She picked out a relatively plain navy dress and held it up to examine. It was still hanging up on her closet door from when she’d gone out to see a doctor. Mercede had chickened out of that engagement too.
Yeah, maybe that wasn’t the best choice. She reached further back into her closet- which contained more scattered firearms and random shit than actual clothing. In the very back she discovered several blouses, only one of which was clean. Baby blue it was.
Once she was dressed, Mercede felt a bit reassured. She looked nice, especially in contrast to her everyday appearance. Everything was straightened out, and even her usual cascade of greying hair was neatly pulled back in a ponytail (despite a sleepy Mew’s protests.) Vanni was fond of neatness and propriety, so perhaps she could send the right message for once.
She made her way from the Grunts’ wing, marching through the hall with far more confidence and conviction than she actually felt. Niney trotted happily along at her heel, curious to see why they were going to the nicer side of headquarters today. The real challenge, the trial by fire, was now. If she could only keep from messing this up, hold her tongue in check and not let her grating frustration surface… perhaps this could actually go well. Mercede closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and knocked on her son’s door.
After Giovanni asked where Mercede wanted to go she gave him a "gimmie a second" and closed the door on him. He presumed it was so she could get ready while she she thought about it, but... As the minutes ticked by and he heard no movement, it became obvious that his mother had changed her mind.
So he left annoyed. Then he carried on with his day, then the days and weeks after that until the event was no longer on his mind. He had more pressing matters to worry about than to sulk over his mother ditching him.
Giovanni was in his office when she decided to show up. At first he was unsure who was at the door. Usually visitors were turned away, or told to wait by Matori until she called him to inquire if they should be let in. Only a handful of people were allowed to go to the office without hindrance: Executives, and family. Even then, he generally only expected the Executives to walk into his office. Silver certainly wouldn't visit on his own accord.
The Boss stood up and walked over to the door to open it. Lucido followed him at first, but halfway there the Persian broke away to go back to sit behind the desk. A peculiar reaction, Giovanni thought, but he took little note of it as he opened the door. Ah, that explained it.
"Hello, Madre." He said, and then asked, "To what do I owe this visit?"
He stepped aside to let her in. Something was up, given Mercede's change in attire. However, there was no telling what that was.
