Chapter 5- These Games We Play (Part 2)

For reference, our  our characters are Bella the Eladrin Bard/Druid, Dalamadur the Dragonborn Paladin, Everard the Human Wizard, Omira the Dhampir Blood Hunter, Raphael the Tiefling Warlock, and Stellise the High Elf Bard/Rogue.

Our friends took a moment to relax after getting to the bleak city of Grayrun (and gaining 2 levels of exhaustion from travelling through the mountains). They explored and bought some items. And Everard went off on his own, running into Shiloh again.

Dalamadur went to the local temple and prayed to his god. He temporarily renounced his Oath and chose another, knowing he would soon be coming into contact with the man that betrayed him.

Everard informed everyone of his run-in with Shiloh upon returning to the inn. Bella and Stellise decided to take things into the own hands. They put on maid costumes and went to Frayne’s home with Everard. Everard waited outside and kept watch while Bella and Stellise pulled their usual shenanigans.

Bella and Stellise introduced themselves as the “Musical Maids.” They cleaned his house while dancing and playing songs. Frayne sat in a chair reading, even when they moved upstairs. Stellise wanted to check out the basement, so they devised a plan to get her in.

Stellise turned invisible and used mage hand to knock a painting off the wall upstairs. Frayne went to check and called Bella upstairs to ask what had happened to her friend. Meanwhile, Stellise snuck into the basement. 

In the basement, she found a storage room with a hole in the wall leading down into some tunnels. She explored them a bit before returning to the main party of the house. She left the house and slammed the door behind her.

Bella attempted to leave after her friend. Frayne stopped her at the door. She tried to escape him, but he injected her with poison.

After MCM weekend I’ve been thinking a lot about where I am in life atm. So here’s just some thoughts about what D&D means to me < 3

My players are beautiful, magical creatures. 

I wouldn’t be where I am now without Critical Role and the work of a magical DM and an amazing party. The inspiration and joy is endless.

Chapter 5- These Games We Play (Part 1)

For reference, our  our characters are Bella the Eladrin Bard/Druid, Dalamadur the Dragonborn Paladin, Everard the Human Wizard, Omira the Dhampir Blood Hunter, Raphael the Tiefling Warlock, and Stellise the High Elf Bard/Rogue.   

When our adventurers woke, they were missing their gear. They were all gagged, hands tied behind their backs, and burlap sacks covering their heads. A young-looking person removes the sack covering their heads.

They see, on the other side of the room, three people kneeling with their arms tied and their heads covered with burlap sacks. Their captor, a person known as Shiloh, wants Dalamadur to kill one of them, but he is enraged, so they ask Omira instead.

One of the victims talks to much, so Shiloh kills them, leaving only two options for Omira. She makes her choice, and the other victim is escorted out, likely to be killed anyway.

Once untied, they explore the area. They find themselves in a shack in the middle of the mountains. They find a note from a man named Frayne in a carriage nearby, leading them to the nearest city.
