MOVED TO ROSAWEPT
It was a lovely day as it normally was in the spring. There was not a cloud in sight as the book keeper found herself sketching a statue partly hidden by some rose bushes and a single tree. With charcoal in hand she paused as she glanced up, taking in the details before sketching them down. Her movements flowed smoothly as she shaded or drew the outline of another shape. Perhaps if she had time she could recreate her sketch in paint. And maybe just maybe display it along side the other artist in the plaza. Just the thought made her nervous.
She was good about remembering colors and certain details as it was part of her job that she loved dearly. It was another expression of art as she restored old tomes or made covers for new books to be published. The latter didn’t happen often but she loved doing it nonetheless.

"I found it is the small, everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay."
"I have... I have never used a sword in my life!"
"Well, that could have been worse..."
"I want to know - why did you come back?"
"I can't just go running off into the blue!"
"True courage is about knowing not when to take a life, but when to spare one.
"You don't have to do this. You have a choice."
"That is private, keep your sticky paws off!"
"Do you mean to wish me a good morning or do you mean that it is a good morning whether I want it or not?"
"I just need to sit quietly for a moment."
"The world is not in your books and maps. It's out there!"
"I'm looking for someone to share in an adventure."
"Have they got any chips?"
"Can you promise that I will come back?"
"There are some who would not deem it wise."
"There was nothing I could do! I barely escaped with my life!"
"Wait, wait! You are making a terrible mistake!"
"I'm going on an adventure!"
"You're right, I do believe the worst is behind us now."
"And I am sorry for doubting you."
"What will happen if your plan should fail?"
Open quote starter:
❝ Did I scare you? You have nothing to fear from me. ❞
The sound of the pile of books she previously carried sounded like thunder to her ears. The tune she hummed died in her throat. A startled “Oh” escaped her lips as her hands clasped together against her chest. Her feet moved on their own accord a few steps back, the candle light illuminated the man’s silhouette eerily. Fear gripped her as she thought the male was a guard of Priwen until he spoke. The guards were not known for their...politeness. “Oh, n-no you just gave me a f-fright.” Still not trusting her fear frozen body as she did not move from her spot.
“For a mo-moment I thought y-you were one of...the infected.” For an embarrassingly long time yet merely a minute, did the female Ekon realize what he was. If not for the fact that Snowy - her clever cat - rubbed against the man’s leg. Purring. The book keeper emerald eyes cast down at her fallen books. Partly in embarrassment.
“Or rather th-the Guard. I’m sorry.”

A bright smile formed on the child’s lips. Like the sun dispelling mist. A giggle escaped her as her hands tried to silence her laughter in excitement. But it could not be bottled as her arms went around the elf woman’s neck. “Pretty! very pretty!” The pain from her injures seemed not to bother her refused to let the woman go, yet being surprisingly gentle. Sunshine hair tickling her nose as her smile reminded. The trauma almost forgotten as dirt stained tears dried in the heat, the dull ache of her ankle bothersome if not a little distracting.
A child her age would cry and whine, even as she warmed up to the woman rather and uncharacteristically quick, was hesitate to say anything. Fearing in a way of the annoyed sighs her mother would make and ignore her when she became to tired to deal with her daughter and her million questions. Aurora knew her mother will yell at her for her mud caked shoes and stained dress. Maybe the pretty elf lady will let her see more of the pretty forest? Maybe even put more flowers in her hair as it made her happy.
“More flowers!” Aurora cheered, fingers now woven in the sunny locks that were very soft. “Flowers to ward meanie trolls away!”

Drowning under the thunder of her heart beat and fear, Aurora only nodded in that moment. For a creature capable of destruction, Aurora did not wish to give the royal assassin any more reasons to harm her by turning into mist or lashing out fang and claw. Revealing what she was, a monster. Yet knowing deep down that death was nothing to be frighten of for her kind. The thought of a possible endless dark of nothingness was a haunting. That she would never be able to regenerate and feel the sun’s rays upon her skin.
“O-okay.” Aurora stuttered. The position she was in left her very vulnerable. Even if she was standing it would give her no advantage. Her instincts told her many conflicting things. To fight and to flee. To accept the pain and torture that was surely waiting for her. How easy it would be to vanish into mist and strike from behind. Driving her claws into her chest or rip out her spine. It would be quick or it might not.
“W-what do you w-want?”
Just a list I gathered. I also give you permission to bug the shit out of me if you been waiting on my slow butt.

“Toothache remedy on the front counter in the green vial.” The smell of dead flesh hit Aurora's nose like a sudden gust of wind. The smell was unmistakable as it was usually what Tarkatans smelled like. Every race had a unique smell, even if they took a bath. “Rub along the gums and pour some between your teeth, it should help dissolve whatever got stuck there. Try not to use it all in one use. Do not eat before and do not drink it.” Books were pushed back into hidden places. Subjects that she didn’t want unfriendly eyes to see. They were not subjects that she could be punished for but still best kept hidden.
She wanted this Tarkatan - whoever it was out of her shop before she would have a mess to clean up. The remedy was a common one asked among them and it was specially made for Tarkatans. Quickly she moved bottles and jars to hide her treasures like she was looking for something.
“Anything else I can help you with?”
@damuxblade
"Give me your blood."
unprompted ask // always accepting
“G-get away f-from me!” Anywhere but here Aurora wanted to be. No matter where she seemed to go the red death followed. “I-I don’t want to h-harm you. Please.”
@skarredlet
“So I’m assuming that you are not from here, neither from this specific time, am I wrong?” Typewriting… who does that nowadays? With computers and technology that is almost perfect, typewriting machines were only used by those who missed the past, or their refined aesthetic pushed them to use them, the cryomancer never had the chance to use one of those. She has no patience for them, and knows very well, that her typos would drive her mad by the end.
“Let me guess… Fallen Elder Goddess? One of those Gods who protect the Earth? Nah, you don’t look like you could fight against a demon.” Might be wrong with that last assumption, or right, but her mind still thinks how or why this lady is impressed with the technology nowadays, Frost already sees it as something pretty normal. “Or you just drank too much ‘Immortal Juice’.”
Aurora chucked, amused at the woman’s wild guesses. But she was right in some regards that she would rather keep to herself. “Nothing of the sort I can assure you. If I was, I would be more akin to the Egyptian god Thoth. If only for my passion for books and history. I am just...me.” Aurora vale of a forgotten race and perhaps a very dangerous...monster. Yes, that’s what they would call her if they knew. Like Tarkatans she could appear to be monstrous and possessing her own weapons in the form of her fingernails that could grow as long as a sword and just as sharp. Yet unlike the Tarkaran’s she could hide it all, but it wasn’t perfect.
“Half Edenian actually.” A lie, Aurora hated doing it. “I’ve been to Earthrealm twice in the past. Peacefully. Hot chocolate doesn’t exist in Outworld and I really enjoy a cup or two when I can. Oh, how rude of me. Aurora Vale. Pleased to meet you.” Offering up a hand for her to shake.
Dettlaff higher vampire by Lorenzo Mastroianni
Aurora had been in earthrealm before but the first two times it was back during the 18th century and shorty after both world wars. It was different and so very foreign but she did enjoy her last visit. She remembered this lazy, orange, and very fat ‘tabby’ cat she had raised. He was very lovable and enjoyed his days bathing in sunlight. The creatures of Outworld were anything but cute yet Aruora had fallen in love with the feline species of earthrealm. “That...that is q-quite true. I regret every time I ask a question to one of the natives there. I would not recommend it.”
It was very headache inducing and quite dangerous. Books and scrolls about Chaosrealm was fine by her. Even if they weren’t quite accurate sometimes...
“My skills at the typewriter are lacking and I fear it will wane as I am told they are obsolete and ‘ancient and dinosaur age’. But dinosaurs were extinct millions of years before - oh!...oh my, how embarrassing...” Cheeks now flushed crimson
“I get it now...”
