alright, more music and headcannons because i love it, and you will too.
pride month may be ending, but cdream is gay forever; so here are songs that i think sound like different cdream ships:
cdrunz is "my way of life" by frank sinatra. because you can NOT look me in the eye and say those two aren't the most doomed, till the end of the line, if you die i die—partners ever known, they're each other's stone and yet both romanticize the other in a "you are the statue in the middle of the town that is my mind, you hold my city together and it wouldn't be the same without you, yet i claim you to be made of gold when others can see the decay of copper at the base".
(OH GOD AN EM DASH, YOU'RE AI. no, no, but i know; i've been trying to get my level of writing up by learning more about punctuation and stuff, no, this will not include capital letters, i know damn well where they go, i just like all lowercase better. horrible time to learn perhaps, but oh well. anyway, back to scheduled programing)
cdnb is "late nights and heartbreak" by hannah williams & the affirmations. because the way i see it, they are both so guarded and haunted in their own ways; that they think themselves poisonous to the other—but clearly care so deeply for each other they would both stay in the darkest moments without a second thought—yet believe the other shouldn't do the same, and it's a constant dance of "run away from me because i'll be your undoing, but please hold me tight and never let me go".
cdnf is "souk eye" by gorillaz. because they are the true doomed, once in a lifetime, first-time love, yaoi. they are so close in a deep sense that feels like they know the other's soul, but at the same time are so uncertain of who the other is, so they run, and they fight, and they call, and apologize, and the cycle repeats. they aren't toxic for eachother, but they can't accept that maybe some paths are only meant to cross once.
as a note, these are all in their respective little universes or timelines, not all at the same time, i think the dynamics would change then.
as another note, are those uses of the em dash right? i kinda use punctuation in a way that feels right based on the understanding of it that i get, but i don't want to look like a fool.
