i remember one night i got really reallly upset when i was like 7 or something for whatever reason and on a school night cried super loud so my mom would hear me and console me, she ending up coming to my room to tell me to shut up once and the second time she came back she dragged me by my shirt and put me under the shower head clothes and all and turned it to the coldest setting and just let me stand in the water in the dark for a bit before she dried me off and told me to stop crying because everyones asleep then sent me back to bed
