Oh what a time to be alive, and be a Newcastle United supporter. 9th in the league some how, and after a disastrous first 14 games of the season. Eddie Howe deserves immense credit for the turnaround and Joelinton is an absolute legend.

CM Punk's best advice he ever gave me… never trust a woman under 30 - Cody Rhodes
This song speaks to me at the moment, the lyrics and the attitude of the delivery at times. I can tell that it's going to be part of my soundtrack to 2022
There is nothing left to lose
It was a beautiful sunny Saturday morning, blue skies without a cloud in sight. The weather unseasonably warm for March. I waited for a bus that didn't arrive, but my travel app said the next bus was on it's way. I sat on the bench of the bus stop and scrolled through twitter, when something caught my eye that I couldn't quite process.
Pursue Happiness With Diligence turned 12 today!
Now might be a good time to be active again then right? Over 3 years since my last post, we might have some catching up to do
Minoru Suzuki being asked about the upcoming G1 Climax Tournament
There are very few albums I have on vinyl, but Somewhere in Time by Iron Maiden is one of them. It’s not necessarily my favourite Iron Maiden album (that title goes to Powerslave) but I love the artwork, and there are a number of songs on the album related to time, and I have felt recently like I’m caught somewhere in time with the throwbacks to the past I’ve had.
Chocolate Drops is my song for 2018 so far. As in, it accurately sums up what I’ve felt this year, rather than it being a song from 2018 (it’s actually from 2016). And this is why Iggy Pop is now one of my all-time favourites.
I’m a bit funny when it comes to live albums being classed as one of my favourite albums, but the second disc of Iggy Pop - Post Pop Depression Live at the Royal Albert Hall is an exception for me. I absolutely fucking love it. Putting the fucking in there in honour of Iggy’s swearing between songs.
I’ll admit I didn’t know many of his older songs, just the ones from the 2016 Post Pop Depression album really, but all of the songs above (which make up the second disc) are just flat out great.Â
I’ve been meaning to post a video of one of the songs on YouTube but for the last week I keep changing my mind which one to post, so here’s a text post instead saying how great all the songs are.
Back in 2014 I finally made a top 25 movies list, I recently updated my list and here it is!Â
Some have moved places, and two new entries to the all important top 10: Paprika and Howl’s Moving Castle. Four other new entries are at 12, 16, 21 and 23.
I’ve been listening to ...Like Clockwork again, and remembered the collection of promotional videos they did for the album. It acts as a great 15 minute preview of the album if you’ve never listened to it before, the art style is just brilliant and it looks amazing on my 4K TV.
