There’s a cream for that || Vincent & Nico

Vince offered him a smile, something closely akin to a quiet chuckle that hummed softly off his lips. It was nice and perhaps a little unusual to be in the company of a soldier and not feel as if he ought to be puffing his chest, to be able relax, be himself and enjoy it. Even if the context of it wasn’t quite so enjoyable. “It’s rare to have such complications and with that ointment the infection should come right down. It won’t do anything for the itch though so you’ll have to curb that instinct.” In truth he’d had one case of a brawler coming in with the skin around their interface plug red, raw and most certainly infected. It had been bad enough, amidst his other injuries, that Vince had kept him in for two nights.
“No, it’s a pleasure to meet you—just sorry about the circumstance of it and you don’t need to thank me for that.” Politely dismissive, this was what he was here for and if he didn’t take the time he couldn’t really call himself a doctor. Appointment or not Vince could never turn someone away, the only few cases when he’d had due to not enough time in the day more than anything else. “No it shouldn’t do anything of the sort, but if you have an allergic reaction to it and come up in a rash then you’ll need to come back.”
He rubbed his fingers to his temples at the mention of money, he always grew immediately uncomfortable whenever the topic came up, clear by his aversion to take it. “No, I don’t like to charge extra for walk ins. Not fair given sometimes you have to wait longer.” That and this was a simple case, nothing too complicated and a treatment that wouldn’t be too expensive for either of them. “Of course,” he picked up the tablet with callused fingers and flipped it through until the nfc link was activated and contact details flashed onto the screen. “Tap your phone here or, I could write it down if you need it.” To the compliment to his clinic Vince shone, more so than if perhaps you’d complimented himself or his abilities. “I—thank you, means a lot.” It certainly did.
Nico smiled and nodded before he reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone and tapped into his security code before softly pressing the back of his phone to the tablet to grab the contact details. "Thank you sir." He said with a small nod before pulling his phone away and glancing over the contact details before dismissing a few messages on his phone and looking back up at the other man. "Should I need to visit you again sir I promise ill give you a heads up before hand."
"I really do like the place doc." Nico said looking around again before nodding. "I've been in plenty of hospitals, clinics, and make shift med tents all over the world." He said with a smile. "This has to be the one single place where I feel like a human. Everywhere else your just a number, or grunt, or some other way of making your less of a human." Nico said with a small shrug. "Here I feel like...a close friend or family. Like your going to fix me, give me a pep talk tell me go get 'em then send me out into the world with a lollipop."
"My question is." Nico said as he put his phone back into his pocket. "Should I need someone to help me in a pinch. Let say...after finishing work in a...hostile work environment...would I be able to come to you?" He asked looking the other man. "I would be more than willing to compensate you for your time. That on top of owing you a massive favor." He added.
