UMINEKO EP 2 SPOILERS

(if you are interacting with this post please don’t spoil the rest of the story! this is my first time reading!)

i finished ep 2 of umineko and omfg i don’t even know what to say. it felt like fighting an uphill battle against beatrice, she really is spectacular. beatrice is really fascinating to me, you really don’t know what she’s thinking. it’s so interesting to see her genuinely enjoy cookies with shannon one minute and then see her be so obsessed with killing the ushiromiyas the next. the fantasy scenes were so cool esp kanon’s fight. it was a real gut punch when kanon and jessica died and were separated in the end. i did cry, it made me very emotional. ryukishi07 is very good at writing emotional moments just based off that scene alone. also his horror writing is really something else, the tea party with rosa was really stomach churning. the way everything gets described is so… visual?? like i can see it in my mind so clearly and it’s awfully wonderful. i’ve heard that ep 2 is the weakest of all the episodes but we will see if i agree with that sentiment when i continue to read umineko. i’m very excited to read ep 3 i wonder how the game will play out this loop around! oh also nippah jumpscare LMAOOOO (guy who only watched the higu anime)
