“C’mon James!” Danny exclaimed, dragging the older male through the forest. “I swear it was a Centaur, he was just down here!” He spoke once again, this time in more of a hushed voice. 

James would admit that if Danny had actually seen a Centaur then it would be impressive. The young man’s reaction had been amusing enough to cloud that for a moment. He followed his friend, and though he didn’t really need to be dragged he allowed the younger wizard to do so. “You could have spooked him when you ran off in such a hurry.” James teased, a light laugh escaping his lips.

Wren’s eyes narrowed as he peered toward his best friend. “You know I’m still getting the hang of it!” He exclaimed, huffing heavily as he folded his arms over his chest, middle finger pushing his glasses further up the bridge of his nose. “Besides, it’s not like I knew I was going to stub my toe, I can’t react that quickly.” He rolled his eyes at the blonde.

An amused smile grew on the blonde’s lips as her friend defended himself. “For the sake of your bruised body parts, I hope you get more of a grip on it soon.” She joked.“The amount you hurt yourself, you should always be prepared to turn it on.” Faye sent a wink in his direction before laughing lightly.

Mary narrowed her eyes staring at the male suspiciously. “That sounds like a threat Potter.” She replied with a ghost of a smirk. The brunette could only imagine what trouble he’d get up to if she wasn’t there to keep him in line. Giving an exaggerated sigh, she rolled her eyes dramatically. “Well, I guess I have no choice but to come.” She didn’t mind really, in fact, the young witch would be glad to have something to do other than sitting at home studying and the company wasn’t all that bad - not that she would ever admit that to the male. 

“I wouldn’t are threaten you.” James responded, feigning shock at her accusations. Of course that only lasted as long as James could keep the amused smirk from his lips. The smile grew as she gave in to coming with him. “You really don’t.” The wizard shrugged and shook his head. “You’re in for a hell of a night, MacDonald.”

“There’s no pizza on this roof, so I have to go.“ She’d had one too many fire whiskies at the leaky cauldron after spending the evening with her Uncle George and Lee. Rose had only meant to have one to help settle her nerves about her job interview with the ministry tomorrow, yet now here she was staring out at the sky admiring the stars rambling away to herself and possibly leaning too far over the edge as if she’d find some there.

“No pizza, but apparently plenty of alcohol.” He mentioned, coming up behind her and noting the slur in her words. Scorpius moved closer to the edge of the roof and looked over at his friend. He placed an arm around her, worried about her proximity to the edge. “You know, you could always order pizza up here.” He joked.

“Oh. It’s you.” Rose rolled her eyes as she spotted the blonde haired male. “You know you’re suppose to be in your dorm, right? It’s after curfew.”

Hearing a voice come from just behind him, he moved so his gaze could land on the girl. “Do you always listen to the rules?” He raised a brow. “Curfew for me is curfew for you, Weasley.” He reminded her, crossing his arms and leaning back against the balcony he’d been peering off of before meeting her gaze.

❝ i think i just saw something move outside your window…is someone watching us? ❞ Her eyes kept glancing over his shoulder, paranoia filling her as she worried that they’d been over heard.

James turned the moment she was finished talking, summoning a handgun in his right hand. Better safe than sorry. Moving to the window, he peered out and in the darkness a couple of shapes were barely visible but definitely present. They didn't see him. "Finish up." He said, moving over to her, left hand resting on the desk as he hovered over her. Beneath it, another gun appeared in a style that Tavia should recognise as her own. "In case we need it."

“That wasn’t my intention,” he said, an apologetic smile on his lips. “But -- did it work?” The smile turned playful in a moment.

Jean bit back a smile as the blonde begged him, taken back by how adorable she was -- something he most certainly should not have thought about his friend’s sister, and yet did so anyhow. But honestly, who wouldn’t think so? “So, you're that desperate to go?” He asked, laughing lightly, only managing to meet her gaze for a few moments before looking down.
