@lostinthe--miraculous
something I thought of while watching the episode
THAT WAS IT??????? This is why I need to keep my expectations low with this fuckass show, that was beyond anticlimactic
THE SITE IS NOW WORKING
I repeat: THE SITE IS NOW WORKING
miraculous ladybug is a case study in how to make the most adhd girl in the world also the most ocd girl in the world
test. there's more in twitter
Gabriel describing Emilie as "prone to fits of drama" (as a way to put down Adrien by comparing him to her) and Amelie saying he "ruined [her] poor sister's life." Gabriel's possessive love of Emilie leading to him keeping her in the basement post mortem.
Gabriel was always abusive. It wasn't just after Emilie died. We have more than enough evidence that he emotionally abused Emilie as well. That doesn't erase that Emilie contributed to Adrien's abuse (isolating him, wearing his amok at all times, justifying his father's neglect in the flashback from s6). It just adds context to her character.
Emilie was abused as a child by her father, married a man who proceeded to emotionally abuse her (unfortunately very common), and contributed to the abuse of her son. If the show focused on this more rather than just hinting at Gabriel's abuse of Emilie, then they could do something really powerful about generational trauma and the vulnerability child abuse survivors face in the dating world.
Edit: Gabriel said Adrien was "way too overly dramatic" in the dub and "extremely sensitive" in the og French. Thank you @fallmyfeathers /gen!!

"Your vigilance is starting to look like paranoia, don't you think?"
Tikki, respectfully, where have you been the last 6 seasons if this is only STARTING to you?
Had to make at least one fanart of Marinette with her new outfit, like, OMG SHE LOOKS SO GORGEOUS. So sad at the end of the episode, Cerise ruined her moments TnT
SHE'S SO PRETTYYYYYYY
Okay I knew her identity was gonna be revealed to someone at the end of this season, but I did not consider at any point that it would be to her parents willingly.
The tragedy of Marinette Dupain Cheng is that being ladybug is extremely bad for her precisely because she’s so good at it
Miraculous Ladybug is about what if you gave a girl with extreme anxiety the superhuman capability to actually prepare for every scenario of What Could Go Wrong
when i watched the episode i thought uncle wang was being really sweet and then i rewatched and imagined lila's voice and suddenly everything sounded condescending and evil
honestly I hope when the truth comes out Adrien/Chat's crash out is so fucking bad for EVERYONE that they just high-key forget to be/put aside being mad at marinette for what she did for a minute just to be like
like I hope his anger is so bad that everyone just freezes at what they just witnessed
marinette's paranoia being reinforced because she was right all along which will in turn make her obsessive behaviors worse, if that's even possible.
SO PRETTY!!! finally in our enough-budget-for-extra-outfits era 😭😭😭
