EDELGARD SUFFERED MORE TRAUMA THAN DIMITRI

There is said it. Now before you come at me with your pitchforks and torches just listen to what I have to say.

I remember back when the first trailers and stuff was released for Three Houses. That’s was all we had to go on for the game in regards to characters. From what I saw on the internet, everyone LOVED Edelgard, and SO many hated on Dimitri for his spaghetti hair. And Claude was just kinda there. We didn’t know who the antagonist was, so no one hated Edelgard.

Then when the timeskip designs came out, people still thought Edelgard was cool and people continued to hate on Dimitri’s spaghetti hair.

So the games been released for almost a full year now and we’ve all had plenty of time to play it, hopefully you’ve played all four routes to see the full story. And I’ve clearly seen the favouritism shift drastically from Edelgard to Dimitri. Let’s look into that.

Now I believe the main reason people attach themselves to Dimitri is because of his well written character. We’re constantly reminded of what the kids been through and were able to see his character descend and how he goes feral...

Dimitri watched his father, stepmother and countless others get murdered. Tragic yes, I’m not disagreeing. And people feel for him as we get to see the affect it has on him when he goes bananas.

Edelgard watched her father lose his power over the Empire by the people he’s suppose to trust. Then is taken from her home, her family with just her mother to the kingdom. Then she finally goes home and guess what happens. Her and her other siblings are taken by Those who slither in the dark (twsitd) and forced to live in a damp, dark and rat infested basement like place. And are experimented on! I don’t know how many of her siblings had the crest of Serios, probably not all. But nonetheless all of them went through the process of forcing a crest stone into their bodies. Until Edelgard was the only one left. It’s like the hunger games if you just hid away from everyone and let the game makers get rid of everyone for you. The winner of a game you didn’t want to play.

When dealing with abuse, trauma and such, when it’s all over your either weak minded and quick to crumble, or you’ve hardened your mind and are able to put up a wall between your emotions on the inside with the ones on the outside. (I don’t mean to offend anyone, and I apologize if I did). Now after the experiments with Edelgard being the ‘winner’ she knows that she’s going to be on the throne. So like any leader, she can’t let her personal feelings get in the way and of course she started her hatred for crest.

We know that Edelgards dream was to have a society without crest. Except the church praises crest so she has to get rid of it. She knows the other two big countries would come to Rhea’s rescue, so she needs to unite Fódlan. Edelgard knows that the Empires power isn’t enough to get want she wants so who does she team up with? Twsitd. Her abuser, the people who experimented on her. The ones who killed her siblings.

The strength that she would have to have to not only face her abusers, but team up with them and not crack would be immense. Just picture this: let’s say you have an abusive ex, or parent or someone in your life that you’ve gotten rid of and are living the life you want to. Then you hit a roadblock in your life, it could be something in the way of your future career, financial issues. Just something that you can’t get passed on your own. And the only person who can help you is that abusive person from your past. That’s the position she was in. Would you go ask them for help? She did.

This doesn’t mean that she pushed aside everything they did to her and her family. No, instead it was part of her plan for revenge. After she had conquered Fódlan she (probably Hubert) would completely get rid of twsitd.

Now, was Dimitri hurt in the Tragedy of Duscur? Mentally, yes.

Now was Edelgard hurt during her time with twsitd? Physically and mentally.

So who has suffered more? Who carries the heaviest weight on their shoulders?

For me, the answer is Edelgard to both those questions. However in this world everyone has there own opinion, so what’s yours?

Xander Relationship Hcs

Also since these two asks are very similar I’m just going to do them together. Also again, this is going to be placed in Fates (Conquest) instead of Heroes.

Despite what people think, Xander can be a very affectionate and tender man, though of course he tends to hide this from Garon and basically anyone that works under him. 

Though, seeing that there is little involvement from the Nohrian king in Corrin’s army, he can feel a little more free to show this side around you while out and about.

He will idly hold your hand while walking around, and when the two of you have to part, he will kiss your knuckles with a small smile before leaving you likely relatively flustered.

He is incredibly supportive of you and everything you do, really. He wants to try to be a person who is good for you. You’re like an angel to him. His angel, to be exact.

The two of you like to talk to each other late into the night. Topics would range from your childhoods to the war. Sometimes, if things got too dark, you would notice a significant drop in Xander’s mood, and you’d know that it would be time to change the subject.

When you both retire to bed, of course you sleep together. Why wouldn’t you? He likes to his his arms wrapped around your waist and his face buried into the crook of his neck as he drifts off to sleep.

In the morning, Xander is normally the first one to wake up, and more often than not, he’ll smile down at your sleeping face and lightly bump his forehead against yours (making sure not to wake you up) before he would get up to go and attempt to make breakfast.

Overall, Xander really enjoys your presence, and is also extremely protective of you!!! Of course, at certain times, he feels as if he doesn’t deserve you, but of course he’s able to eventually get himself away from those negative thoughts.

Also, this is very very important. He looks adorable in flower crowns.

Xander x Reader Relationship Headcanons

- Xander sees himself as a true king, noble in every sense of the word, and carries himself with great dignity wherever he goes. Having said that, his grace isn’t always foolproof, and as his partner you’re often witness to these… failings.

- As a handsome, wealthy, and powerful king (or former one, at least), Xander is well-accustomed to admirers, but he’s less familiar with admiring someone else. Though the two of you are in a relationship, he wants to make certain you never doubt his feelings for you and does so by sending regular reminders in the only ways he can think of: preparing lavish feasts of your favourite, having elegant outfits tailored just for you, and decimating scores of fiends to impress you are just a few of his grand ideas. You try to tell him that such gestures aren’t necessary, but you know he won’t listen.

- Proud and unrelenting, Xander rarely listens to anyone, but you’re the exception. Whatever you ask of him, he’ll do in a heartbeat, no matter how difficult the task, unless it’s asking him to be a little less dramatic about his commitment to you. “You cannot ask me to change that which drives my existence!” “Really, Xander…?”

- You can’t deny that he can be a definite charmer when he’s not going over the top. Your favourite surprises are the quiet candlelit dinners on the balcony of his room, or arriving to your room to find bouquets of roses and heartfelt notes, but most of all you love just spending time with him, talking with him about your lives and the future or walking with him through the castle courtyards.

- PDA is no barrier for him. Xander adores scooping you up when you least expect it and planting kisses over your cheek, even if others are watching. He makes a big show of it, like he’s announcing to everyone that you’re a couple.

- At first, Xander insisted on protecting you when on the battlefield. Not only is it the noble thing to do, but he would be devastated if he lost to. After realising your skill as a fighter, however, he begins starting to fight alongside you instead of in front of you, and the two of you make an excellent team. You’re able to watch his back when he gets carried away, and he’s always there to assist you right when you need it. It’s an impressive sight to see you effortlessly cutting through swathes of fiends.

- It’s not unusual, in a lull on the battlefield, for Xander to steal a quick kiss. You struggle to decide whether it’s adorable or a little irritating, but either way it’s definitely more distracting than it should be. You get him back with cheeky quips and flirtatious comments, and watching the blush rise in his cheeks is a victory in itself.

- For all his showiness and exaggeration, Xander can also be incredibly gentle and caring. His greatest concern is your comfort and happiness, and he knows just how to lift your spirits after a long day. Whether it’s holding you in his arms as you vent what’s on your mind, brushing your hair and massaging your shoulders to ease your tensions, or simply lying beside you when you need rest; he would do anything for you, and when he tells you this the look on his handsome face is so serious and genuine you know he means it.

He’s a goofball and would be a handful as a partner, but damn if it wouldn’t be worth it. Also, power couples wreaking havoc on the battlefield? Yes. Please. I hope you like this and thank you soooo much for your request! :D

In my opinion my favorite FE three houses girl, and it doesn’t help that she has some of my favourite aspects in a FE character: pink hair, pigtails, axe user, and kicks ass but lazy and the same time.

Also side note I think I’m gonna post a lot more of my art on here since I’m finding Instagram a bit toxic and the tumblr community has been a lot better for me.

Natsu:He’d be such a good father! He instictively recgonizes when his children are sad or hungry (when they are still babies) or when they are happy and want to play. Since he’s practically still a child so he’d not just know how to treat his children, he’d have so much fun with them too (I’d really like to see that tbh). He’d be so happy and love his children more than anything.

Gajeel:First when he get’s the message he’d have a little existential crisis, not because he isn’t happy but it’d just be a bit to much for him. But he’d sort himself and get everything done for his s/o. He’d start to learn how to cook, do the laundry and stuff like that. The kid would bring out the best of Gajeel and he’d give his best to be a good father.

Laxus:He’d ask multiple times if his s/o is joking or not. Kinda like Gajeel it’d be to much for him to deal at the moment. He’d think of everything that has to be done and if he’s going to be a good father and what if there’s going to be twins or triplets…he’d have so many things in his mind and he’d may be scared a little. But when the kids are finally there, he knows that he’d give his very best and that’s more than enough.

Sting:When his s/o tells him that she’s pregnant, he’d be quiet, than go into the guildhall and scream from the top of his lungs: I’M GOING TO BE A FATHER!! He’d be so happy and tell everyone that he’s gonna be the best father of them all. When the child is born, the whole guild would celebrate and take care of the baby together so you and Sting still have some time for yourselves. And kinda like Natsu, Sting’d a great father with a lot of passion.

Rogue:He’d start crying when he get’s the message. He’d be so protective from that point on, never wanting his s/o to go on missions anymore not even the easiest ones, never leaving his s/o alone and taking care for everything that has to be done. As a father he’d be even more protective, taking them on missions to teach them how to use magic and not wanting to let go when they are finally grown up. He’d be such a cute and loving father.

The Church of Serios

*THIS MAY HAVE SPOILERS FOR BOTH ROUTE FROM CHOSEING BLACK EAGLE HOUSE.(that is the Crimson flower and Silver snow routes). YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED*

Ok so before the game was released and all we had were the trailers to base our opinions of the game on, as soon as I saw that there was a church. My immediate thought was ‘I’m gonna have to fight them. They must be destroyed’. Then I figure out that we’re technically working for the church. Still my opinion doesn’t change.

Then the game gets released and playing through part one of black eagle house I figure that hey, maybe the church isn’t so bad. Rhea really likes Byleth and although Seteth doesn’t like Byleth, at least he’s an interesting character (if you’ve done the paralogue. And especially if you have the support conversations between him and Flayn).

But of course anyone who chose black eagles knows what happens before the timeskip. Rhea goes dragon apeshit. Which is were I go ‘I TOLD YOU SO’. I had copied my black eagle file so I could chose to side with Edelgard or not so save me over twenty more hours of my life.

First I completed Edelgard path who had the same kinda idea as me from the beginning ‘THE CHURCH MUST DIE’. Which is of course what happened.

So naturally after if finished of dragon Rhea I went to the file that I chose Silver snow to see the opposite perspective and glad that I wouldn’t have to fight Rhea again with all that health.

Sike, I thought wrong. After tearfully ending Edelgard I thought: hey is it over? Nope, I did Hubert’s dirty work that he left to me, then found out the truth of Byleths origin, only for Rhea to go dragon apeshit AGAIN.

I’m currently starting the blue lions route hoping not to fight that damn dragon again.

But on a final note, the church of Serios, while they might seem to have good intentions sometimes, is bad and had to be destroyed.

NATSU IS SCARED OF BEING ALONE: an unpopular opinion

okay okay hear me out;

early in the series it was a recurring gag where lucy comes home to her apartment but natsu and happy are already there.

i think that when natsu first pulled lucy to join the guild, he had an instinct that said, “okay this girl is mine she is family now”. and their bond just grew stronger from there.

natsu lost igneel when he was younger. igneel was his dad, his teacher and best friend. then he somehow recovers and meets lisanna, who becomes very close to him and raising happy with. but then she “died” and he’s back to being alone.

i believe that the reason natsu is always at lucy’s house is to keep an eye on her. he’s very protective of her and his number one priority is always her safety. lucy heartfilia is natsu dragneel’s, even if the girl has no idea. remember when lucy went back to her father to cut off ties with him? he was so terrified and determined to bring her back; happy commented that natsu kept crying more than him.

natsu may be close with the guild, he may treat gray as a rival, erza as an older sibling but lucy has a special place in his heart. also he seems to have lucy’s wellbeing placed before his own and everyone else.

bonus headcanon: natsu hoards a lot of things that catch his attention and lucy is his number one treasure.
