TMNT 2018 Trailer: Initial Thoughts

I'm cautiously excited.

In every incarnation of the show/comics, there's always been some cause for concern. Be it character design or even character development.

I'm ready so see where this takes us. Whichever way it goes, it's sure gonna be a wild ride.

Quick ask, how would the turtles react to their s/o bringing home a small child they found in the dumpster that seemed very malnourished and crying for help? I just got to bond with my youngest cousin today and my instincts kicked in when she started crying. How would the boys react if their girl was just so motherly towards the baby?

What a cute little tike!!!

Leo:

His heart would break seeing how much suffering the lil tike went through. He’d be worried about scaring them, but once the kid warms up to him, he’s more than happy to help nurse them back to help with her. He’s the kind of guy who really loves letting the kid curl up on his chest and fall asleep. He’d admire his s/o for being so caring and kind toward the baby, comforting her when her motherly instincts overwhelm her when she looks at the abused baby.

Raph:

My God, it’s like the little kid has their own personal bodyguard. He actually GROWLED at Mikey when he got too close for comfort. Seeing the kid hurt and unhealthy would kick his protective instincts into overdrive, and if his s/o is not caring for them he’s carrying them around 24/7. He and his s/o tag team the whole thing all the way, and together they make the ultimate makeshift parenting duo. It’s as if they’ve done this before, they’re so in sync with the kid.

Donnie:

He will never admit it, but he’s always dreamed of having kids. Seeing one so neglected makes him actually cry. He of course will tend to all the physical wounds, but when the kid needs to sleep, his s/o sends them over to don. He’ll also never admit this, but he knows every lullaby in the book. And watching his love take care of the baby? It just increases his insatiable want to have a family - after all, from the looks of it, she’d make an amazing mother.

Mikey:

The guy’s all about cheering em up. He’s a pro when it comes to silly faces, so he’s on food duty making those weird twisted faces while trying to kid the kid to imagine the spoon as an airplane. He’ll also play peek-a-boo and hide-and-seek non-stop, he’s excellent at getting the kid to laugh again. He and his s/o have honestly never had more fun, and when the kid goes to sleep, the two can’t help but stare that the little thing in absolute wonder. He’s so happy she brought the baby home.

Why is it so hard to find the 2014/2016 Turtle's tattoos? Half the ones I find look so sketchy/blurry, they do not instill confidence.

TMNT Headcannon: Acceptance

Out of all the brothers, Michelangelo wants to be accepted by people the most. It’s touched on a lot in the Bay-verse, but the threads are there in all 'verses.

He gets absorbs in the pop culture, emulates the outside world, and keeps seeking ways to learn as much as he can of life outside the sewers. He feels connected to the people of New York. Not just the city. The people.

So when they call him monster, when they scream, when they faint or run or even attack, he hurts the most.

And he hides it behind the grin. Throws out the one-liner. Disarms them before they have a chance to see just how deep the wound went.

After all, he’s the party dude. The jokester. The resident clown.
