I think people aren't used to seeing sad endings well written, some people assume that sad endings are bad and it's not at all.

Good omens is the perfect example, it's tragic but it makes sense with the character and the way they have always acted on the show.

That I would have liked another ending? Absolutely.

But it doesn't mean that the real ending is bad, in fact it is well written but it's tragic and it breaks my heart.

A thing that I love to pieces in both Good Omens canon and fanfics is how humans around Crowley and Aziraphale perceive their relationship. I love third person pov fanfics. I love that Nina genuinely asked Crowley how long he and his partner had been together. Because of course to the average human they are going to look like a regular (sort of) gay couple, and their weird dancing around each other without actually talking can be easily interpreted "ah yes of course, they are so used to being in the closet that they are still adjusting to being out."

Idk it makes me FEEL things.

This is stupid, I don’t know why I made this.

Some elaborations:

- Wiggly knows Wilbur’s into him and doesn’t care too much, though he does find it a bit weird.

- John and Miss Holloway share the same shitty ex-but-not-actually-your-ex ex. I think they could be friends.

- Tinky doesn’t have much interest in Wilbur but he does remind Tinky of his favourite plaything, so that could change.

- Wilbur doesn’t care for the Lords other than Wiggly but he respects their authority.

- Wiggly is an annoyed older brother and Tinky is a little shit on purpose. Though, since Wiggly is the oldest, he has ways of getting Tinky back.

Picturing a "survived the Waylon Place... HOWEVER" scenario where the way Max fell and how far he fell down would've made it a lethal fall instead of a fatal one. On the way to the hospital his heart stops and he's dead for several minutes. They manage to revive him, he takes some time to heal and eventually comes back to school a few weeks later.

Everything seems fine for a while but weird shit keeps happening. Max is always disappearing from classes, things are getting destroyed, more reports of people getting injured or killed on the news. The group get a text from Max to meet him and they're convinced he's finally gonna let them have it for the prank but they get there and he's sitting down with bloodshot eyes, downs a beer in one go and is like, "so do you guys remember danny phantom"
