OUAS’ title of being the only DnD campaign to make me tear up has been usurped. I’ve been covered in tears and snot for 5 minutes after finally watching the voidbound finale

There has to be a gnarly case of classic fandom misogyny behind people deciding that Ted's whole "people who are alive and people who are fucking dead" speech was about Pete, who's only a background character in this show, and Ted never even mentions, rather than Charlotte, who is pretty much the only person that Ted is shown to genuinely deeply care about and her corpse is literally right in front of him in that scene.

The woman he was in love with but couldn't have anything beyond a workplace affair with was just shot in front of his eyes because he left her alone with her already infected husband that she couldn't let go of but sure, he was thinking about his brother that we haven't seen him interact with in the entire hatchetverse other than their cameo in black friday and the start of abstinence camp where he makes him get out of his car and walk to the camp because he got scared to go back there. Sure.

#THIS THIS THIS #I’ve been meaning to make a post about this but I’ve been putting it off #I’ve seen like 5 posts at least since Tgwdlmr dropped talking about Ted thinking of Pete in this scene without a single mention of Char #like sure have your headcanons and stuff but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don’t ignore the fact that Char’s corpse is literally RIGHT THERE #iirc Joey even said that part of Ted’s arc is realizing that he loves Charlotte likeee #Ted literally JUST watched the corpse of the woman he loved #and left to die #attacking all of them with her guts hanging out and then get shot #I’d think that has more priority in his mind (esp since he’s STARING RIGHT AT HER MOST OF THE SCENE) than Pete #I don’t mind when people are like “maybe Pete came to mind at some point”#but just acting like Ted’s entire monologue was about Pete with NO acknowledgement of Charlotte makes me upset :(#Sorry for the heated rant I love Charlotte and I keep seeing people ignoring her :(((#Edit:#Not to mention Joey’s acting in the reprise made Ted’s feeling for Charlotte SO much more obvious than the og #Like he’s literally on the verge of tears when he leaves her with Sam #(which ofc doesn’t make him a more morally acceptable character since he’s still being an asshole)#And again he’s staring at her the entire scene which is hard to tell in the proshot but I think still noticeable??#Just ignoring the clear implication in favour of a male character over a female one is :(

Here’s some reasons you should be hyped for and talking about Tomb Quest:

-Broadway’s A.J. Holmes sings into the stratosphere

-Corey Dorris’ velvet vocals are the heart of the show

-Richpez duet hello?!

-Kim and I sing TWO songs together (hasn’t happened in 15 years)

-Clark Baxstresser (Spies are Forever, VHS Christmas Carols) has written an all timer of a score

-Matt Lang and Eric Khan Gale (who wrote Twisted!!)) have written an intimate, funny, heartfelt and fantastical script

-It’s a hangout show in a freaking basement!

-LONG HORSE

Ultimately this show is about a group of friends getting together to make something small and personal and meaningful made by a group of real life friends doing that very thing in our actual reality. I will continue to beat the drum for this show. Join me!

GOD I’m so unbelievably hyped for Tomb Quest it’s not even funny

#Listening to the demo tracks again and I can feel my excitement in my veins down my arms and hands #I wasn’t near as hyped for the yt release of tgwdlmr but that’s prob because I watched the digital ticket #in any case my Starkid obsession isn’t as strong as it was a year ago but I can’t wait for tomb quest #I can imagine the songs so vividly already #Ahhhhhh I wish I could see it live #I’m gonna be so abnormal about Blood Oath I can already tell #Gary’s character is speaking to me #And Corey Dorris solo!!! Everyone cheer #From what I can tell a lot of ppl are excited for Melanie and Luke #I am too but likeee I’m so excited for it all #lis needs to shut up #starkid #Tomb quest #I might be a little insufferable about it when it comes out

Finally going to start watching Stardust Rhapsody. Should I watch Overture first or go straight to Anthem? ( I know Overture isn’t canon)

#I think it kinda depends #I personally got about 3 episodes into anthem then decided that when I went to continue I would start with overture #even tho overture is noncanon there are still minor references to overture #(specifically in the first episode but I don’t know how much that carries into the rest of anthem)#which kinda bugged me since it felt like I was missing something #but I know a lot of people who don’t care about that sort of thing since it has little to no effect on the overall story moving forward #so if you’re someone who might be bothered by that then I’d suggest starting with overture #but if you don’t think that you could get invested in a story that’s been retconned #or feel like it might be a big commitment #then just start with anthem #I believe it’s actually in the YouTube description for ep 1 of anthem that suggests starting with anthem then moving on to overture later #but that’s just from my experience :3
