Good Omens season 3 Spoilers ahead....
I don't actually know how to feel, I can't say that I disliked the ending, I actually liked some thing but also disliked others, I always disliked the theory of them ending up as humans and they actually did... So I have mixed feelings, because even though I would have liked that they stayed together as an angel and a demon for eternity, the decision that they made, it actually makes so much sense, they always cared about the humans and they always hated this "good and bad" morality, so I really liked the resolution for the humans and Crowley's "question" that he was once punished for asking, but as for Aziraphale and Crowley it's a bittersweet ending, they practically die and reincarnate in another universe, and even though it's cute that they end up together and marrying each other like meaning that they found each other in every universe, it's not actually them, it's another variant and it sad that after knowing each other for 6000 years they don't end up together, but at the same time it's cute that a variant from them could finally be happy and be free from those chains and responsibility that both of them had.
The Jesus storyline was kinda meh, I liked it, it was entertaining and he was so cute, but it wasn't necessary, when they found out that Jesus disappeared they wanted to find him but when they found him they left for the book of life, so he wasn't important in the storyline of the second coming. It was rushed, it was obvious that Jesus had to appear on the show but they had no time, such a shame if they had a whole season I'm sure they would have made him more interconnected with the main plot.
What I missed the most is them saying "I love you" to each other, it's criminal that they didn't say it when they were disappearing, I really don't care that they didn't kiss because their relationship has always been more than just physical contact, but they should have said I love you.
But to be honest for a movie that was just one hour and a half they did a great job, it has the vibe of good omens (the humour, the timing, etc). I wished they could have done an entire season because the audience maybe would have been more prepared for that ending and we could have seen more of their dynamic, but they couldn't, so I'm kinda heartbroken but also emotional for the ending, even though the "in another universe" thing it's kinda cliché that I'm not very found of, because at the end of the day they are not the same characters that we grow up through the show and it's sad to see them die and not only them but practically the entire universe, it's like destroying all the story at the end and make it a new one and I don't really like it because you basically erase the world building of good omens, I understand the logic behind it and even if it's sad and tragic, and I say it as a person that HATES when the show kills main characters just for the shake of it, but Aziraphale and Crowley's sacrifice makes sense with their values and morales about them always wanting the best for humans because they were the only ones to care about them and as they said "this is bigger than you and me", so even if it's depressing, their sacrifices were important for the narrative, they didn't kill them just for shocking value, their death had a purpose that encapsulated their grey morality conflict dynamic with heaven and hell, basically saying to them "we are better than you" and I really liked that, how at the end they were their own team and they "won".
I already miss them so much, at least I'm happy that they meet again in another universe, because at the end the lesson is that it doesn't matter if they are angels, demons or humans, they will always love each other because that's the foundation of their dynamic 💔❤️
