securing a new job meant that he received a new phone that was meant to help daesik keep in contact with his employer at all times, but he was definitely having his own fun with the device. it didn’t take him long to adjust to the technology that this new world had, observing others and quickly picking up on their behavior. but, he had definitely developed a few annoying hobbies. he had been waiting for one of his friends to arrive at the coffee shop that they were set to meet at, seated at a table and posing for selfies. he was so caught up in it that he hadn’t even realized his friend was standing in front of the table. when he finally glanced up, he jumped a bit. “yah! didn’t your mom teach you not to sneak up on people?” he scolded in a playful manner. “god, i’m so handsome. look at these pictures i just took! which one do you think i should post to instagram?” he was already showing off the pictures on his screen the other, scrolling through them with his index finger.

rhys could see daesik through the shop’s window, shaking his head as he entered. honestly, the guy was kind of weird and definitely full of himself. but, he could appreciate that. more people needed to be a bit more confident. he snorted as he sat down, glancing over at the other’s pictures. “you’re really into yourself, you know that?” he teased, a smile reaching his lips. he took the phone and scrolled through the pictures himself, sending himself one of them before leaving a picture up as he gave the phone back. “that one. honestly, since you think you’re so pretty, and you are, you should get into modeling. i’m sure you would much rather hear other people call you handsome. i would call you handsome all the time, but i’m afraid i would have to demand some sort of payment. and, not the monetary kind,” he teased again, winking over at the other.

it was extremely uncharacteristic for the prince to allow himself to get upset in front of anyone, but all the emotions he had been bottling up for years were slowly bubbling up to the surface and there was nothing he could really do to stop it. he had gone on a long tirade about how useless he felt compared to his brother, tears welling in his eyes and voice beyond strained by the end of his tangent. the only thing that made him feel grounded once more was john’s hand cupping his cheek, his expression softening slightly as he stared up at the other. “i’m sorry for dumping all of this on you… you probably think i’m a mess now.” a dry chuckle falling from his lips as he glanced down at the ground.

john had never seen so much emotion rush out of topher at once. however, he couldn’t blame him. to be constantly compared to your brother who was deemed perfect while never getting recognition for your own qualities and successes would wear down on your psyche each passing day. john had never been good with coping with his own emotions, let alone others, but he was willing to do his best to comfort christopher in this moment. “you are quite a mess, but i see no issue in that. you’ve earned the right to be upset. i understand your pain. while i’ve not my own siblings, i have an arrogant father who i must always deal with the reputation of. and, while life isn’t fair, to be constantly belittled for no fault of your own is just not right. i don’t blame you for hating your brother. hell, i think i may hate him too for what he’s put you through. that’s why i will do the best i can to lift you up, to raise you above his status and take what is rightfully yours.”

honey had remained rather silent after broaching the topic initially, a shaky breath falling from her lips the moment she heard the other’s explanation. she knew deep down that decision jin had made, or hadn’t made, must not have been easy to deal with after becoming deviant. a small frown tugged at the corners of her lips as she looked the other over. she took in a deep breath and reached out to place a supportive hand on the man’s shoulder, “i don’t blame you for anything you did, jin. you didn’t know any better.” she reassured him. “look how far you’ve come since then.”

the machinery that controlled jin’s jaw was tensed tight, not wanting to accept he was any better now. why was he able to stop himself now, think for himself now, but not then when it truly mattered? “i should have known better. i should have been stronger but i failed. i fear i will regret it for the rest of my life and there will be nothing i can do to remedy it,” he said, allowing his hand to gently cover the one on his shoulder. “i don’t feel as though i’ve come very far. i feel weaker and uncertain, unable to get anything done without the confidence i had before. what good does that serve anyone? serve you?”

A SMALL HUM passed shego’s lips as she found herself leaning into the other’s touch, “ oh, but all the best women in life are crazy. ” crazy after all was a term passed onto women mostly by men who wanted to control them but the women gifted with this term were too unruly for them. shego wet her lips as she continued to stare at lena, shoulders lifting in shrug. “ you say high maintenance but i hear … deserving. you’re more than worth it, you’re everything. ” those words rolled over her tongue with ease as she allowed her hand to rest on lena’s upper thigh. 

lena wet her lips as she felt the hand on her thigh, leaning in just slightly. she didn’t give in too easily to compliments as they were usually used as a tactic against her. but, that was only when men and two-faced women used them. the other didn’t give away any sort of intentions. “do you really think so?” she coyly asked, placing her hand over the one on her thigh before guiding it just a few centimetres higher. “because, if you do, i just might have to keep you around a bit more and i would hate to ruin any sort of schedule you might have.”

Nick nodded as he listened to the other’s words. He could definitely relate, since he’d gotten into dangerous situations as a soldier. And although he’d tried to avoid it afterwards, due to his vampirism, danger sometimes came his way. “That makes two of us.” He said with a chuckle. “Why are you friends with danger?”

baz gave a shrug. “you know, just something i seek out,” he joked. honestly, it just felt like he was always in the wrong place at the wrong time no matter how hard he tried to keep things straight. “life is boring otherwise. so, i’ve got to walk through all the dark and creepy alleyways, be around all the suspicious people, and carry a gram of any narcotic on me at all times,” he continued to tease. “isn’t that what everyone does?”

raven approached the other, teeth sinking into her bottom lip nervously. she was thankful for the other’s help in giving her a place to stay, but she knew she couldn’t stay here forever. people were always after her and they were always going to find a way to hurt those around her. rosemarie was too kind and too good to have anything happen to her. raven actually knew she relied too much on her, fearing she’d already developed a crush on her. “i think i have to go,” she said, not daring to look up. “i really really appreciate everything you've done for me, but it’s probably time for me to move on. you know, make room for someone who needs more help than me,” she continued, a sad laugh escaping her. “you’re probably the best person i’ve ever met. i’m going to miss you. a lot.” she swallowed thickly. she honestly didn’t want to go, but it was for the greater good.

as chloe approached the other, a familiar magnetism could be felt in her core. she’d still hadn’t been able to assess what exactly it was, but knew it probably wasn’t the best thing if it couldn’t be properly named. however, the pull was too much to resist and chloe had always found herself at the other’s side to assist and monitor. she’d been donated to the hospital some time ago, but it appeared she’d been paired with sage despite initially assumed to be of free use for the entire hospital staff. “sage, might i suggest the closet?” she quickly asked with a smile, motioning for the other to enter the nearest linen closet. one of the head doctors was on a rampage and heading their way and chloe really didn’t want to see sage get mixed up in that. it wasn’t her job to protect the other from social issues, but it was something she strangely wanted to do. “i know it may be hard to do, but please trust me on this. i’ll be in with you,” she said, opening the door.

This has been on my mind for long but I’m gonna do this - please reblog this if you’re comfortable with pre-establishing relationships. I do not mean “met at the grocery store two weeks ago” or “have a common friend”, but rather stuff like “have been best friends since kindergrden”, “go for a beer every friday”, “friends with benefits”, “dated in highschool”, “hate each other’s guts because -insert reason-”  etc. Something meaningful (but not necessarily shippy) and I mean with muns/characters you have not interacted with, because I cannot believe I am the only one who prefers jumping right into the heart of the human interaction.

“i know you’re like, really important and popular and all, but you don’t really have to work as hard as you do,” sloane said as she slipped out of her cheer uniform. the locker rooms were practically empty at this point, the rest of the girls quick to leave considering there was a big party tonight. sloane, however, delayed her departure, eyeing the other girl. sloane had always been curious about what it would be like to have a crush on a girl, but the opportunity never came to be. until now, of course. “you should rinse off. you’re way sweaty and i don’t think a towel will do it,” she advised, giving joy a wink before heading for the shower herself. she glanced over her shoulder. “you coming or what? no one likes to shower in a creepy gym lockeroom by themself. come protect me joy,” she teased with a laugh.
