crawling out of my grave to say that the situation happening with Pressure on roblox is so upsetting to me and i cannot in good faith make more fics/fanart of it (even if i only did one of each).
Don't support Pressure, support the people that held Pressure together for so long, the fans, the writers and most of all, support Ren.
however, i can now make ripoff OCS of all my favorite pressure characters and nobody will give me shit for it.
after finally getting my lifesize vaporeon plushie i realize just how big these guys are. I've always seen them as like big cat/medium dog size, but this thing couldnt even steal my chair when I get up without breaking it or falling off.
i see now why people in the pokemon universe don't evolve their eevees, I could not handle all this

OK so to understand how Nevada works I'm first gonna go back to the beginning (i told you this would be long).
So everything started getting messed up when Hank killed the sun, but what does that really mean? Well that's complicated, and for the sake of my own sanity I'm going to stick with 'The literal sun made an avatar to kill Hank and immediately died'. Though, that doesn't really explain the day/night cycle of Nevada. How is there day if the sun is dead?
MY theory is the sun was more of a gateway(?), to either the The Other Place or some similar alternate dimension, and is the direct cause of what I'll call the 'Madness', or the general effect of all the messed up things. So, the sun died, and let in the Madness, which began to pollute the world as a whole. (i also like to hc that this is where the Employers came from, but I'm well aware that's untrue)
From EP1, we clearly see there's plant life, so there's water. While we never see it directly, we can assume there's lakes or an ocean somewhere. (We do see a map of Nevada in M:PN, however it can be assumed there's more happening elsewhere, assuming the literal US state isn't all the world is, and 'Nevada' is just the name of the world)
When the sun died, the temperature likely began to rise, drying up water reserves and killing most of the plants, but here's where it gets tricky (haha). Water doesn't just disappear when it evaporates obviously, so where did all of it go?
This is why I like to believe there's other 'biomes' in Nevada, that aren't just desert wasteland. Somewhere, probably within what previously was an ocean or a large lake, there's some sort of wetland with a very harsh weather cycle, constantly storming because of all the water constantly evaporating in this (relatively) small area.
This type of weather could range from creating swamps to habitable forests, though any trees that grow would have to be able to survive such conditions. It wouldn't be impossible to find an actual Oasis, but I'd imagine the plant life (or even animal life) would be just as hostile as the desert itself.
You could also take that the route of having areas of Nevada that used to be lakes but have dried into large canyons with a water reserve at the bottom. This is my idea for what could be Las Vegas, having moved from it's previous spot, which was likely destroyed by riots and other fun horrible things, into the nearby Lake Mead. (yes, lake mead is outside of Nevada's borders irl, however, I do not care.)
So now 'New Las Vegas' is the only major city to have an actual weather cycle from all the evaporated water, along with naturally growing plants and easily accessible water. I'd imagine it could be run by the N51, giving every major military faction their own city.) It's also the furthest city from the other two major cities, which are likely within the middle of the desert, hence why we never see any other biomes in the main series.
It's also likely you'd see dead forests with leafless trees and abandoned buildings, mostly home to bandit camps and zeds. Of course, there's also mountains, but that would mostly be the same as the whole desert, just elevated.
Would it be cool to see other biomes in the main series? Yes. Do I think that would ever happen? No never actually.
I just think that Nevada as a concept, especially with how it's 'introduced' by saying "Somewhere in Nevada...", could really feel just as alive as everything else, like the ground itself has gone as mad as its inhabitants, and showing that through harsh weather, be it rain or dust devils would be cool. LET THE WORLD BREATHE, EVEN IF IT CHOKES.
It's my personal belief that the world building in madness combat is good but severely unexplored. I hope everyone is ready for my overly long and detailed yap sesh about my hcs for Nevada and its ecosystem
