nameofmymotherâ:
coming to the bar, he had hardly expected to actually engage in any sort of conversation aside from speaking with the bartender. heâd been more focused on coming in, getting his mind off the day while he drank maybe two glasses of the alcohol of choice. now, he was a bit more thrown off, especially in the presence of such a handsome stranger. that much had been clear the minute his eyes had landed on the man. perhaps the night was finally starting to look up now, if he got to spend even a small amount of time with the other. needless to say, adrian was more than surprised as he watched trevor place a light kiss upon his knuckles, more stunned by the action than anything else. it was something out of of those period movies or novels. an action that adrian didnât often see people engaging in during this age.Â
âtrevor. a pleasure, then.â thereâs a faint blush to his pale cheeks, the smile present becoming more shy. he wasnât quite sure if the other man was merely being friendly, or if he was actively flirting. matters that adrian certainly didnât have too much experience in. tilting his head at the offer, he pulls his hand back almost reluctantly before finally giving an affirming nod. âcompany would be greatly appreciated, actually. iâd meant to come here to drink alone, but, as you said itâs not as fun as one would make it seem. what are you drinking?? only seems fair i do give you that refill if youâre going to be keeping me company.â
this is a stupid idea. a really incredibly dumb absurd notion, to willingly put himself in the line of fire. to flirt with adrian, to spend time with him, to even expose himself to this is self-destructive. but then... thatâs what trevor does best, isnât it? self-destruct. and without his lifelines, the two people who gave him a sense of belonging, of peace again, trevorâs not going to last long without doing something utterly absurd. and apparently, this is it. sitting here, close enough to adrian to admire every beautiful - albeit different - part of him. the blue eyes are a bit of a surprise compared to the usual bright golden hues, but heâs just as gorgeous as ever. more, maybe, without his sorrow and trauma hanging over him, something that never seemed to disappear even as he heaped.
âoh no - believe me, the pleasureâs all mine.â trevor says without thinking. despite what alucard thought of him at first, trevor was more than capable of being charming when he wanted to be. something heâd proven in time. something heâll prove again here, apparently. now, adrian could certainly shoot him down. trevor wouldnât blame him - heâs not exactly the best catch around. but for some reason he doesnât, and trevor doesnât know if thatâs a good thing or a bad. âwell then, itâs only fair i oblige.â he says as he finishes off the last of his drink, abandoning the glass on the bar before sliding over to a stool closer to adrian. stupid. stupid, what are you thinking here belmont - âah, another beer will be fine, thank you.â trevor directs the comment half to adrian and half to the bartender, âno doubt you have.. finer tastes, but a cold beer is a soothing way to end a long day, in my line of work.â
