The 3rd annual Wanda Fish Fry Surf Swap Meet is happening!!! Saturday 22nd November at Oak Park, Cronulla. Starting at 8am till 1pm. Bring your boards, boardies and burgers. Free to attend, free to join in, free to display. Just bring yourself and your board collection for a great day. This year we are changing location to another local park. Oak park offers closer surf break, BBQ and toilet facilities etc. So bring some food for lunch as well. Tell all your friends and prayer for good weather and waves.

2013 almost over!!! Thanks for a good year!!

This was my first inspiration to get into photography- my Grandfather was a traveling salesmen, he would take photos on his travels- most were lost to time or are deep with the recesses of piled boxes in my mothers garage. Either way there is something so captivating in a photograph - the timelessness, the exposure, often unknown photographer, what is the story behind the photo? Was this planned or spare of the moment- I guess this just is photography.

Summer 10:30am - 11:30am you can put money on the Nor'easter blowing in. We planned all morning to convene at 10 and load the boards, newly acquired housing, and wetsuit tops. It was like a dream, 2ft offshore, Tuesday morning, no-one out. We loaded the boards at 10:30 and headed down to a secret left reef break - that isnt really secret but no one ever rides it- we pull up in the car park and the wind had come- Devastated! It completely destroyed all hope and waves to smoosh, like a bug under foot. Now what, we had all the gear and no waves. We commenced to paddle from one side of the bay to the other, as the sun was still blaring. We paddled the open sea on logs, for 20-30 minutes. Arms were aching, faces were sun kissed. We made it to the beach and to our surprise there was nothing- we walked back to the cars - burnt face, feet and crushed dreams.
