[Hello!! Apologies for not being active. I'm still going through the long process of creating a Zilla Jr/H.E.A.T. ask blog. So far, I have gotten the drawing of Zilla Jr down pat, now I'm moving onto Nick Tatopoulos and learning landscape at an excruciatingly slow pace. Figured followers would like to know that Ghidorah's blog isn't dead, just hibernating til Mun gets this other blog set up.]

((It seems that some people have somehow gotten it into their heads that some of the larger kaiju RP blogs constitute a kind of exclusive “canon” that we only allow certain blogs into. While it’s true that a lot of us are friends with each other, and we do communicate fairly closely outside of our threads to plan interactions between our own muses, we are all separate entities and each of our blogs has its own unique canon, just like everyone else’s. Some of us aren’t even in canon with each other.

Each of us role plays with who we want to, for our own reasons, and we don’t try to say that since one of us does a thread with one blog, all of us have to, or that none of us can role play with any other blog. Some of us will thread with anyone, others are more exclusive, and the standards are based on what will or won’t work within the context of the specific world that they are trying to create for their muse, and who they feel comfortable interacting with in the first place. If they don’t want to do a thread with you, that’s their choice, and you should respect that. It doesn’t necessarily mean that they have anything against you personally. It just means that they are trying to create a very specific story with their blog, and your muse just won’t fit into it. That said, complaining to them about it and whining that you deserve their attention is a sure-fire way to give them something personal to hold against you. It’s rude, immature, disrespectful, and generally conveys that you’re not a person that they want to interact with, and they’ll tell their friends about it, and their friends will think that maybe they don’t really want to interact with you either. That’s how it works. If you get turned down, just back offand don’t push it,because that won’t help your case one bit.

Now, before people start going off and accusing me of defending some elitist imaginary group of role players who are apparently too wrapped up in their own pride to give other blogs credit for their actions, ALL OF THIS APPLIES TO ALL ROLE PLAY BLOGS, NOT JUST THE BIG ONES. The same dynamics apply to everyone’s blogs. If you want to do a thread with someone, you respect their rules, and don’t complain about it. If there’s a contradiction between your rules and theirs, you work with them to figure out something that works for both of you.

But why is this issue such a big deal right now? Honestly, it shouldn’t be. It’s all one big clusterfuck and literally everyone wishes that it would go away. AND YET, FOR SOME REASON, PEOPLE CONTINUE TO MAKE A BIG DEAL OUT OF IT. Well, now I’m joining the party, because by making a big deal out of it, the people who are at the center of this whole conflict have turned it into a big deal, and it’s severely impacting a lot of people’s ability to have a good time on their blogs. People who aren’t even involved with the conflict are LEAVING THEIR BLOGS because this bullshit has made it so that they can’t have fun here anymore.

And I am here so that I can have a good time, and so that other people can have a good time observing or interacting with me. That’s all ANY of us are here for.

So,

EVERYONE SHUT UP, STOP COMPLAINING, AND LET OTHER ROLE PLAYERS JUST HAVE THE GOOD TIME THEY CAME HERE FOR. IF YOU DON’T LIKE THEM, THEN DON’T FOLLOW THEM, BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, DON’T BE A BABY ABOUT IT, AND DON’T TRY TO HURT THEM IN RETURN TO TRY AND GET THEM TO APPRECIATE ALL YOUR SAD, SAD SELF PITY. JUST BE CONTENT WITH THE KNOWLEDGE THAT THEY’RE ASSHOLES, AND LEAVE IT RIGHT THE FUCK THERE SO EVERYONE CAN GET BACK TO THE FUN THAT THEY CAME HERE FOR.

Do we have an understanding? Good. Because I’m sick of not being able to just have a good time with people who share my interests. Over. And. Out.))

PSA: Us and Them

[Hey there! Ghidorah-mun here.

I know I said I was on hiatus earlier, but I've noticed something that's become a rather recurrent issue in this RP community.

There is a mindset of "us or them" that seems to be going around, where specific blogs(no pointing fingers here, folks) seem to believe that there is an overall "canon" for this community.

Newflash: there isn't.

This is a roleplay community.

Some people roleplay with everyone, and others prefer to roleplay with close friends, or a small circle of people. This does not make those who rp with everyone good and those who RP with only a few bad.

There is none of that.

Roleplay is here to make us happy--roleplay is here as stress relief, and if a roleplayer shows no want to interact with your muse, don't take it personally!!

Mun=/=muse!!

Sometimes, we as the muns just don't feel comfortable rping with specific muses, and it's nothing against you!! It's just our comfort zone!

Do not demonize people for sticking to their comforts!

As well, the idea that there is a CANON and NON-CANON list of blogs within a community is ridiculous.(this is in reference not to the canonical characters from the fandom the community is centered around, but rather, that there is a universe within the rp community where certain characters are accepted, and others are not.)

that sort of thinking is TOXIC, and only helps to create bitter tensions and spawn schisms between roleplayers within the community.

EVERY ROLEPLAY BLOG IS IT'S OWN UNIVERSE.

EVERY INDIVIDUAL ROLEPLAY IN AND OF ITSELF IS A CROSSOVER OF SORTS.

Even if two people roleplay together, their muses could hold personally to two separate timelines. Nothing is canon.

Specific muns may talk behind the scenes and decide to make their characters canonical to each other-that's OKAY. They're ALLOWED to do that if that's what they find would be fun!

What's not okay? Attempting to emotionally manipulate and run train on a pity party of yourself in an attempt to be accepted into this "prestigious group" some people seem to idolize.

There is no group.

We roleplay with those who we'd like to roleplay with, because we want to enjoy our time here as stress relief!

WE ARE NOT OBLIGATED TO THREAD OR INTERACT WITH YOU TO MAKE YOU FEEL GOOD IF IT WOULD, INHERENTLY, STRESS OURSELVES OUT.

THIS IS HERE FOR FUN, NOT FOR PROFIT. THIS IS NOT OUR JOB.

Please, if you hold onto some mindset that you "aren't good enough" rethink that train of thought. Because that is toxic and you will only harm yourself.

It has nothing to do with you. You did nothing wrong. Rejoice and create a world of your own with the roleplay partners you DO have instead of trying to appeal and cash in on those that you view as some sort of roleplay idol, because that will only make awkward tension.

We are not here to be some end-goal for you, we are here to have fun.

You are here to have fun.

Do not force your muse upon other people, respect their wishes, and instead roleplay with those that HAVE shown interest with you.

NO HARD FEELINGS, but the idealogy that there is a TUMBLR ELITE that you need to infiltrate and join is ridiculous, because there is not.

This took a while, but I'm very satisfied with it. The only thing I would change is that bothersome hand....the left one(his left, our right) is good, but the clenched fist could be changed.

Ehhh, whatever. The rest of it looks awesome. This is also a redraw of a scene from the first episode, before he's fully grown when he's waiting for Nick outside the building.

[I am rather quite fond of Zilla. I enjoy gorosaur and can write him better, but if it came down to art replies and whatnot, Zilla fares MUCH better than goro in terms of my ability to draw him.I’ll probably end up making both!! But for now, I’m leanin’ more towards Zilla than Goro. We’ll see how the night progresses XD]

Destruction on a wanton scale is something King Ghidorah Oh-so rarely ever gets to enjoy. It was a small town, of course. Not many people. A couple hundred or so, including children.

Oh, but their screams were loud enough to fool him into thinking there were thousands.

Their cries of mercy went unanswered, however. Or rather, they were heard--but they bounced ignored off the golden scales of great beast that descended. A cackling howl broke the night; lightning burst forth without rain.
