While the other hand was caressing her cheeks, the other one was playing with her hands. “I know. You don’t like talking to people.” Augustus can’t help but pulled her closer, wrapping around his arms around her wait while resting his chin on her shoulders. “I don’t think so. Skye, what would happen if I’ll be gone again?”
“well i’m working out on that one... really.” these past few days she’s actually trying to have a conversation with someone and trying to find a topic for them to talk about. “mhmmm... i don’t know... i just don’t want to think about that right now.” she grinned and patted his head.
“can i ask you something...? you free this weekend?”

“We’ve been friends since we were kids, of course I can tolerate you.” Augustus planted a kiss on her forehead before staring at her face and caressing her cheeks. “But please do think about it. Am I really making you happy? It’s okay if not, I can accept that.”
“and you’re my only friend since then.” she giggled while he was caressing his cheeks. “do you think my cheeks got bigger?’ Charlotte asked before replying to his question. “you do... you’re like... the only person here that could keep me in sane.”

“To be honest, yes. I’m always making you angry. I don’t know if something’s wrong with your brain for staying with someone like me.”
“well... i don’t know if i would take that as a compliment or something. but...” she gulped and thought for a minute. “you’re crazy because you can actually tolerate me... and that really... do explain me in general. i’m crazy. we’re both crazy in our little ways.”

“I am not jealous, Skye.” he patted her head while giving his most genuine smile. “I’ve just realize that I can never make people who stayed with me, happy.”
“and this is one of the reason why i called you crazy.” she rolled her eyes and chuckled.
“do you really think that you don’t make me happy at all ?”

“Honestly, it’s your choice. I would never be jealous if that would make you happy, then be it.” he replied, fighting the urged to smile back at her and pinched her cheeks.
“oooohh....” she smiled and her face was lighting up with his answer. “so you’re jealous huh? this is the first time i’ve actually sense that you are jealous.”
“never knew that you’re cute when you’re jealous though.”

“I guess not…? Who are you attracted to anyway, Skye? Do I know him?”
“Mhmmm I don’t know Gussy...” she said as leaned forward and gave her cute smile towards him. “What if it’s not a him? Would you still get jealous?” she asked as if she was testing him.
“i can’t help who i’m attracted to, even if it is the sexy, intense, deadly ones. although... does that makes me cray cray?”

“But at least try? They might understand you more if you tell them what you really feel.” Augustus planted a kiss on her head before tugging her back to her apartment. “I want you to rest. We’ll talk some other time.”
“...like should I call her now?’ she asked him as she pulled away and looked up at him. “I’m scared I might burst out on her.” Charlotte pouted before he pulled her to her apartment. “You’re going to leave?”

“You guys should talk. Tell her everything, like how you feel and that you know what’s happening.” he said while slowly brushing her hair. “Never mind that. Go back to your apartment. Get some rest.”
“Okay. I will stop being a brat.”
“It’s just... I don’t know. I think I would never be ready to talk to them...” she sighed, “I may talk to them once I graduated or something like that...” Charlotte buried her face against his neck. “I already got my rest.. I’m sorry I didn’t told you earlier about it.”

Augustus sighed, pulling Charlotte close to him and hugging her. He can never ever be mad at her for too long. “I’m sorry. I didn’t know. Things got a little crazy here too.”

“I just don’t know why she try so hard to talk to me. I mean doesn’t she still realized that I know their dirty business?” she sighed and hugged him tightly. “Why? What happened?”
“Then... don’t ever say that again, and seriously... you acting like a brat doesn’t fit you well or else I’ll call you a big baby...”

“I thought you were busy. And I got sick.” he retorted, “And, it is not a joke. You know how I’m willing to do everything just to be with you.”
“it was supposed to be for a field work... i have to take photos for one of my subjects, and i have to focus on my work and all... up until mom came over and well tried to interact with me. I don’t want to tell to you about it... since it involves my family.”
“yet you’re here wanting to break up with me.”

“Let’s see…” He trailed off, moving three steps away from her then turned back at Charlotte. “You celebrated my birthday then off to I don’t know where, didn’t even bother calling me.” He chuckled, “Yeah, sorry for being a brat right now. Feel free to break up with me.”
“Urgent manner. And you didn’t even bothered calling me.” she said plain and simple. “Really? so that promise ring was a joke after all huh?”

Augustus was a bit surprised that the one he was talking to was his girlfriend. “And I didn’t know that I still have a girlfriend.” He then removed his hand around her. “You should go back studying.”
Shocked by what he have replied to her, Charlotte rolled her eyes and let out a sigh. “Seems like you’re disgusted with me with the way you removed your hands. What’s with the attitude, Lockwood?”

“Good thing I don’t drink water from the fountain.” he said to the person standing next to him, wrapping his arm around their shoulder. “Should we get our revenge from them?”
“....are you really talking to me about the revenge?” she said while smirking. “i never knew that my boyfriend know that kind of word.”
