Door project From sketch model to the real thing ive gone from using foamboard and glue making a 1:15th scale model to then using what i learned and learning from mistakes to making my fully plastic door, which is now finished and spraypainted.
Finished trian project last week, new material im not great with but i tried my beat areas like paintwork need improving. Re painted so many times. Not bad fpr first proper project at uni.
Train Project
So ive stafted uni and now ive finally got my first project. This is breif research into some ideas I want to design my toy train like. Aswell as modern and clasic paint schemes.
Here I'm practicing perspective drawing for part of the floor layout of which my work will be with. I'm drawing a 90 degree wall and two barrels. This is not a great drawing as I havmt drawn 3 point perspective in a while.
FMP Here are some changes I've made to other elements of my weapons of war, adding rivets and strengthening areas that support the weight of the weapons. Aswell I've thickened areas emphasising the danger and realness of the weapons.
FMP Here are a select few images of my work. I have taken full frame photos aswell as close up shots of detail. Next I will be spray painting and re photographing my work.
FMP Here you can see I've contacted one of my influential artists and references Chris Gilmour, who has kindle answered some of my questions and has given me some helpful documents to read about his work.
FMP
Here is my now finished panzerschreck (“Tanks Bane”). Since my last post I’ve added wires and sights for if there wasn’t a blast shield and extras such as the detail towards the back of the rocket launcher.
FMP Here I've simple used a large tube. Not 100% accurate the diameter is 0.8mm smaller than the actual German rocket launcher the panzerschreck. Despite this I could improve by wrapping the tube. I have also added a blast shield, the blast sheild are strapped on so in theory it has no exact place to be.
FMP I've simple just added a handle and made the ammo belt buillets 3D. The belt could be better but once spray painted they will look alright.
FMP Here you can see I've made a new M2 Mortar. I've exagerated the size, to make the viewer realise how powerful this weapon would be. I've also made a bipod and fire plate for the Mortar to sit on. I've also added on a handle to show the Mortar is adjustable. There will still be some inprovements and add ons .
FMP FMP presentations. Showing what everyone's up to now compaired to at the start
FMP Here you can see some improvements I've made on my weapons. I've reinforced my Browning handle and added a new sight to my SMLE
FMP My SMLE only had a flat stock and after figuring out how to make one when I attempted it on the M1 Carbine. I've applied what I learned and made a few adjustments so it was all in one peice learning from my mistakes.
FMP This last few days I've made another rifle. The M1 Carbine is a small rifle used for practice shooting and was also used in WW2 for its high power and accuracy. I started by making a body using only one peice of cardboard, bending, folding and careful cutting to get the right shape. I also made a 3D stock, this is my first attemp, I will take it off and make one that's not made in three parts.
