Help Me Rebuild My Future Through Cybersecurity
My name is Abdulrahman, and I am a first-year Cybersecurity Engineering student from Gaza, Palestine.
The circumstances of war have changed almost every part of our lives. Our home was destroyed, and my family and I are facing extremely difficult conditions.
Despite everything that has happened, I am determined to continue my education and build a future that will allow me to support my family.
I chose cybersecurity because I believe it can give me a real opportunity to work remotely, build a professional career, and eventually become financially independent enough to support my family.
My goal is to continue my university education while developing practical cybersecurity skills and earning professional certifications that can help me enter the cybersecurity field and find legitimate work.
Some of the certifications I am working toward include:
eJPT — Junior Penetration Tester
An entry-level practical penetration testing certification from INE, designed to demonstrate foundational skills in network, host, and web application penetration testing.
eWPT — Web Application Penetration Tester
A practical certification focused specifically on web application penetration testing and real-world web security skills.
CPTS — Certified Penetration Testing Specialist
A practical penetration testing certification from Hack The Box that focuses on hands-on penetration testing skills.
These certifications are not simply certificates to me.
They are part of a long-term plan to build real, practical cybersecurity skills, create a professional portfolio, and eventually find remote work that allows me to support myself and my family.
Why I Need Financial Support
Because our home was destroyed, our financial situation has become extremely difficult.
At the same time, continuing my education and obtaining professional certifications requires money for university expenses, training, certification exams, internet, electricity, and educational resources.
For transparency, the certification exam costs themselves can be significant. Current listed prices include approximately:
eJPT: $450 for the standalone exam voucher under INE's current pricing structure.

CPTS: $210 for the exam voucher before VAT, according to Hack The Box's current pricing.
Prices can change, and some certifications require subscriptions or training access in addition to the exam fee.
