you know…today, and honestly every day, I’ve been searching for the question of why this band. why is this the thing we adore so much, why are we still around, why does it hit us so hard. and I think the answer is that as humans, we seek magic in our lives. and that’s what one direction is. it is proof that circumstance and luck and randomness can result in beauty, that talent can be found around, that love can exist anywhere and is merely waiting to find us. that we as people are just forever seeking out our soulmates in love and in companionship, and one direction is proof we can find that. they are ordinary people, but they are not. they are extraordinary, and they found their matches, and that gives us hope that we, too, can find magic and luck and circumstance in our lives. and we did. we did with each other. one direction is not just a band to us. it is proof that in this life, we can find something magical
