Introduction:

Hello, maidens and lads, Hail to thee, good gentles, and welcome to mine humble weblog, wherein I do pensively set forth my musings and tales of wheresoever mine imagination doth carry me.

Hear me speak, I take mine honour to make known unto thee, I am Sir Rhett Wren, and I serve the crown as a loyal knight, though The Kingdom I shall not name to thee.

Wilt thou learn more of mine own estate, or as thou callest it in these days, "lore drop", behold, here are certain verities of mine own life as a knight:

•I serve the darling Princess Giselle and her pain-in-my-metal-arse Brother, Prince Lance (who also happens to be my beloved partner, but still) •I’ve known Princess Giselle since before I was a squire

•She spends most lf the time in the “library” (I have no idea where she goes) and sends me to do silly quests, and she invites all of you to do the same

•I usually just “hang out” with Sir John, but he tends to just drag me into trouble, or ask for advice on women (I do not know why he would come to me for such inquiries, but I try to help, for I pity poor Edwina, I do not know what she sees in him)

•Most of my quest involve getting the woods’s witch out of trouble, but she’s thankful enough to reward me with wild mushroom, they’re quite tasty

You may inquire in my quest or even make suggestions in the letter box of questions, you may also test my modern knowledge, I have become quite familiar with your linguistic particularities. I’m quite fond of the moving images you call Vines, I know you people enjoy plays and dramatizations just like us

The Knight’s Gender and Sexuality can be whatever amuses me at the moment, For this is a Knight RP blog, but I’m at heart a Jester (and under that same thought, my pronouns will be ha/ha) If you address the knight or me as a Lad I shall answer as such and vise versa

oh and you’re welcome to rp as the lovely and adventurous Princess Giselle, the smart and teasing (and annoying only to the knight) Prince Lance, or any member of the court, servant or traveler, and of course, your modern self ^^

Dear Sir Rhett Wren,

I do inquire about something that has indeed confounded me—in your letter of introduction, you say that only Princess Giselle has ever looked upon your face, but then what makes of your parents? Of your brother, Prince Lance? This truly befuddled me, as I do not believe that one could be born wearing a full knights armor and visor!

The Sad Frog of The West

A most amusing letter you send, Saddened Frog, you make me think perhaps a change in my introduction is due, and your inquiry is very welcome!

What I meant was that the only person who I allowed to see my face once I became a knight was the Princess, my dear parents and few fellow knights (John, for example) had seen my face, for it would be indeed impossible to remain in full armor from the day I started my time as a squire!

As of now, many more have had the chance of seeing me out of my armor, Eddie for example, has spent time with me and John when we’re not on duty, and she’s become a dear friend to me too

John has seen me out of armor too, for it would be incredibly difficult to rest with a visor on during our long quests (and I suppose because we’re friends), and Witch Eda has taken a glimpse or two on my visits, so have a couple physicians, and Princess Giselle of course

And as of lately, Prince Lance has seen a lot of me, without armor, during our (however brief) time together

I do hope I have answered your inquiry, dear reader!

She saw Lance smiling at me and instantly hit her head on the table and groaned

Today is Witch Eda’s birthday, I had a hard time thinking what could I give her, I thought that perhaps my attempt at a portrait might please her!

that man is bound to get caught, I’ve scolded him enough for him to restrain himself from showing affection in public, luckily the night shields us in the gardens and his chambers

It’s not suspicious for a knight to stand guard outside of the Prince’s room

When you accidentally say the q word (quest) and your knight starts gently clanking from their happy wiggles like now you've done it, you have to send them into the dragon's lair or their helmet ploom will droop and they'll start waxing sad poetic in the moonlight

nothing more enjoyable than taking a reading break near the river

except perhaps pushing the prince into said river

He got my portrait taken

Well, no, it would be odd for a Prince to commission a painting of his knight out of armor, so he painted it himself

He took me to his study and we spent a couple hours in blissful silence

it was most lovely

I only hope he doesn’t poison us all

Eddie and John are awfully in love

If it weren’t for the recent…developments, I would’ve been a little jealous, but it’s something truly beautiful to see a pair look at each other and see more than what’s outside, every time they gaze into each other’s eyes they see only love

I hope to feel that warm gaze upon me one day
