I got bored with Abbaon, which is why it's only one chapter so far. It was supposed to be the dark fic where Brenda and Sharon are busy trying to ignore their feelings for each other, and they both fall into unhealthy coping mechanisms - Brenda goes the surprisingly pedestrian alcoholic route, combined with meaningless sex, until she gets blackmailed by a woman who films their tryst in a public restroom. Sharon throws herself into work, and starts trolling for cases outside of Major Crimes. She ends up in an undercover pickle that puts everything and everyone she loves in danger. It ends with the end of Major Crimes, kind of - because she dies, or at least she appears to be dead. Brenda skips the funeral and drunk dials Hobbs for a pity fuck, but Hobbs just let's her cry and puts her to bed. Brenda quits her job the next day and goes home to Georgia, where she hits rock bottom, and Clay forces her to go to rehab, and she does, and then she goes back to the CIA. That's the big parts of the story, but it was all Brenda and Sharon not together, so no dopamine writing it 😂. But it was always meant to be a bridge to the last part of the series - which I am currently working on.

This was literally the scene that got me into fanfic at all - I had potterhead and twihard friends, but I never really wanted to read other stories about those characters - but this scene sent me sailing to ff dot net and searching for Brenda/Sharon fics, which, at that time, were pretty few and far between, so I decided to write my own, and that's why this scene is where Synchronicity starts.
