my love birds keep biting me. ive looked on the internet, read books, tried crying, these waddly, chubby birds wont stop. what do i do.
If you have more than one lovebird it will be very difficult because they're very protective of themselves and each other when together. Just keep showing them love, then disappointment (say NO firmly) when they bite. This will take LOTS of time and patience.

Today we celebrate Lola's 8th birthday! When we rescued her she had no name and was aprox 5 years old. She had been neglected and given up. They just dropped her off with no info or explanation, and unfortunately she had plucked out most of her feathers. She had no tail and no wings. She'll always have a bald spot on her throat but today she has 100% tail and wings, and she can fly! Tom wanted to name her Chicken, but we settled on Lola after Lola's 7up Market & Deli (best chicken burritos!) She's such a good bird. I'll never understand how someone just left her in a cage. Your blog is the cutest thing ever ^^ Lola and Chile seem so sweet. Are there ever any moment when they're being loud or difficult?
Thanks! They're both so good. Maybe just a few minutes a day they'll make louder noises.. but not as loud as other parrots I've heard. They'll really only cry if they need something. Chile will let me know when she needs food (she eats like non stop) and Lola will let me know when she needs to go to her cage to use restroom. We call it her poo cry! Haha sorry TMI ;-)

Thanks for getting back to me! I noticed from one of your older posts that we actually give our little feathered ones the same food! But I'll be sure to get those seeds and hopefully they'll be a helpful tool in training. Thanks again!

Love your blog!! How did you train Chile to roll over?!?! I treat my bird Macie like GOLD, spend SO much time with her, and I still can't get her to do tricks on command.
I feed Chile Harrison bird food and use Safflower seeds to train her to do tricks. She will do anything for safflower seeds!
