🦋Sandy Hook victim, Dylan Hockley🦋
“Like many people on the spectrum, Dylan demonstrated several aspects of repetitive movement. Autistic individuals are sometimes known to rock their bodies, roll their heads or flap their hands. Dylan was a flapper. Whenever he got excited or happy, he jumped up and down and flapped as fast as he could. One day I asked Dylan, “Why do you flap?” In all honesty, because Dylan had under-developed language skills, I wasn’t expecting him to answer. But he did. He said, “Because I am a beautiful butterfly.”
- Nicole Hockley (Dylan’s mother)
A neighbor of Columbine victim, Kyle Velasquez, described him as being a boy with "simple sincerity and a genuine heart"
Rest easy, Kyle🧸🤎
Happy birthday Kyle Velasquez🧡
Kyle Albert Velasquez was born on May 5th,1982. As a baby Kyle suffered a stroke which left him with permanent mental disabilities. His family struggled to find him a school with classes that suited his needs. In the year of 1999, the Velasquez’s decided to enroll their son at Columbine High School. He thrived there and seemed to enjoy his classes. Kyle had only been attending columbine for three months, when a shooting took place at the school on April 20th. He was the first person to be killed in the library. His life was cut short at the age of 16.
Kyle was described as a “gentle giant”. He was loving, sincere, and affectionate. He loved to help his dad around the house, doing chores, mowing the lawn, washing the car. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Everyday he would give his mom a kiss on the cheek, and accompanied her everywhere while she ran errands. Kyle dreamed of one day joining the Navy or becoming a firefighter.
Today, we remember Kyle. We remember the life he had here on earth. The love and kindness he brought into the lives of others. And we think of the person he could’ve become. You are not forgotten Kyle Albert Velasquez!
Happy birthday Kyle ❤️🕊️
The 13 angels❤️👼
On April 20th 1999, 13 innocent people were senselessly killed in a shooting at Columbine High School in Colorado. Today, 20 years later, we still feel the void of their absence. We remember their lives, the people they were, and who they could’ve become. Although their time here was cut short, they live on in our memories everyday. We will not forget them.

Today (March 8th) Dylan Hockley should be turning 14 years old.
6-year-old Dylan Hockley was a special needs student with autism at Sandy Hook Elementary school. On December 14th, 2012, a gunman entered his first grade classroom and opened fire killing him, his teacher, and many of his classmates.
Dylan is remembered as being a sweet boy who loved to laugh and smile. He loved roller coasters, the color purple, cuddling, and looking up at the moon.

I also want to point out that Asia Cottom, Rodney Dickens and Bernard Curtis Brown had won a trip from National Geographic to visit the national marine sanctuary on the Santa Barbara coast . That’s why they were aboard American Airlines flight 77 💔
at least he died doing what he loved... letting people die by gun violence.
hello, i was wondering what made you want to start this blog and expand to memorializing victims of other tragedies? its very beautiful and youre doing something beautiful by running it as well, thank you 💛
Hi ! Thanks for the question 🤍 i don’t think I’ve ever talked about this on here before.. but here we go. I started this blog in 2018 (I think, might’ve been 2019) . In 2014 , I was a freshman in high school. On a Friday in October it was a normal day of school for me. Went to my classes as usual. After 3rd period my friend asked me to skip my next class and go to her lunch ( we had 2 separate lunches at my high school because there was so many kids) So I skipped my 4th period class and went to the cafeteria and sat down at a lunch table to wait for my friend. All of a sudden I heard loud popping noises. I didn’t know what it was until everyone started screaming and running in a panic towards the exit. It was a mess, everyone screaming and pushing each other, some people getting trampled, blood on the floor. When I got outside me and a few other kids went into a classroom and locked the door. We turned the lights off and laid on the floor. We laid there in silence for 4 hours. Waiting for the police to come and evacuate us. Unfortunately the classroom we happened to be in was one of the last rooms that the police searched and cleared so that’s why we ended up being in there for 4 hours.
4 children were killed (including a childhood friend of mine) , 1 severely injured and the perpetrator ended his own life.
I can’t explain the devastation this tragedy caused in my life . The crippling PTSD that ruled my life for a long time afterwards. There isn’t a day that I don’t think about it and I’m 25 years old now.
So I started this blog as a way to cope I guess you could say. It helped me with the emotions I was feeling. I believe it’s important to keep the memory of these people alive. It started with Columbine because I had done a lot of research on the tragedy and the victims but I decided to expand to include other victims as well because they’re all important and should all be remembered.
This is probably a little longer of an explanation than you were expecting so I’m sorry lol. But again, thank you for the question 🤍
Emmett Louis Till (July 25, 1941 – August 28, 1955)
“Emmett was a funny guy all the time. He had a suitcase of jokes that he liked to tell. He loved to make people laugh. He was a chubby kid; most of the guys were skinny, but he didn’t let that stand in his way. He made a lot of friends at McCosh.” - Richard Heard, a school friend.
Rest In Peace, sweet Emmett❤️🧸
Happy birthday to Steven Curnow!💚
Steven was just 14 years old when he was killed in the Columbine High School shooting in 1999, he was the youngest victim. Today (August 28th) he would’ve turned 36 years old.
Happy birthday, Steven 🤍🕊️
