thinking about how lonely i was at 15 and how i didnt have any close friendships or people who understood me or people i could talk to every day and then now at 25 im surrounded by love and friendship and community and i have plans with friends multiple times per week and i have unread messages on my phone that i’ll get to later instead of staring at my texts waiting for something to happen. its all i ever wanted and i could never take it for granted. when you’re starving for something and you finally receive it the level of gratitude is indescribable. im so grateful for it all every single day. it really does get better and it makes me cry when i think about it
