charactergundos meeting
Appreciative of everyone validating my crazy Pantheon Theory which now seems to have more proof.
Every character in the smp is absolutely taken from across a variety of different timeframes and possibly even different locations in the world. So long as the ccs weren’t just making out of character jokes it seems like this line of thinking is correct.
To start let’s look at Pearl for one of the more questionable pieces of evidence towards this theory. Originally with the rest of the Feather Holders she claims that her only memories of her death involve wandering in a forest at night while feeling terrible. Yet there’s more to story provided to us viewers from Pearl that isn’t present in any pov save for one. In Owen’s episode he never cuts the conversation which leads to the reveal that there was more said by Pearl regarding her death. Specifically, Pearl makes a mention of having been in a car crash caused by an animal which implies that she was pulled from modern day.
The inclusion of this has to be purposeful as everyone else in the feather group specifically cuts the mention of the car from the video as well as Pearl’s confusion at everyone else not understanding. Then if you watch from Sausage’s pov he skips ahead about 30 seconds or so to mentions of horse power while Pearl and Apo skip to after when Owen opens her eyes for the first time. Owen from what I know is very deliberate when it comes to how he edits videos like this which means that it’s likely this is an actual in character piece of information.
My next piece of evidence for this theory is once again Abolish due to the entirety of his character’s backstory that is provided. Specifically his character is shown as being a gladiator that performed inside of a colosseum. Now while I can be wrong I’m fairly certain that Ancient Greece didn’t really have gladiators until much later in their history. In fact I vaguely remember learning from a friend about how Greeks adopted such entertainment from the Romans. Should I be correct about this then that would point towards Abolish being from much later in the history of Ancient Greece unless he participated in a more wrestling focused sport. Again this could be not that big of a discrepancy but it’s interesting to keep in mind with everything else.
Scott’s pov ties into two separate pieces of evidence in my theory with the weaker of the two being the mention of Heracles. Now it’s specific to note that this was likely more of a joke reference as he mentions having met someone who claimed to have been a demigod. After mentioning this he says he doesn’t remember the man’s name very well before mentioning Hercules which is the Roman equivalent of Heracles. Again chances are this was only brought up as a silly way of touching on the fact that people mix up both versions of the divine hero. However, I unfortunately have been sitting with my metaphorical cork board and I’ve already connected the dots.
Now Scott also applies to my theory a second time because of a point made by the user Calypsodarcas on my original theory post. When Scott first introduces himself in the group containing Drift she begins freaking out due to being a major fan of his work. However, I do find it slightly odd how she calls herself his biggest fan despite not immediately recognizing him. On one hand you could argue that maybe his appearance changed similar to how Apo was made into an Oneiroi upon being made a champion. Yet I still feel that as his biggest fan Drift still would’ve had some level of recognization for his voice or face because surely she would’ve seen a couple of his performances. This leads to the idea that perhaps Drift had studied Ancient Greece or at the very least focused on old performance records. This would explain how she recognized Scott only in name because if she was such a fan of this famous actor in the same time period then this shouldn’t be the case. It could be just a matter of improv on the spot but it’s interesting to keep in mind none the less.
Finally, the last evidence like in the original post is just the tattoos in Legundo’s design for Nikos. The name is a Greek one yes but I’m still very curious about the origin of the design. Almost everyone I’ve seen discus them have stated they seem more Norse in design compared to that of Ancient Greece. I personally can’t weigh in on the designs themselves but what I can weigh in on is how research shows that Greece at the time held stigma towards tattoos. Tattoos were treated as a punishment for outcasts such as criminals and slaves. Warriors wouldn’t want to be marked in tattoos yet Nikos has very prominent ones proudly on display. These tattoos and things he says points towards him being a nomad of sorts which is interesting when determining his original timeframe.
Final point to this whole massive post is the thought of how long everyone was dead. It’s common in media when dealing with characters who died to have a situation of not realizing how long someone was truly dead for. In some cases characters think they were dead for ages and in reality only a couple days or maybe even a week had passed. And on the other hand years or even centuries could’ve passed but the individual thinks only maybe a day at most has passed. Genuinely I feel insane going on about this but I at the very least gotta put down these thoughts somewhere.
SHES JUST A WOMAM

vsmp: the premise is set up so either vampires or humans must be completely eliminated
cast: nah
bfsmp: the premise is set up so one of the kingdoms must be completely eliminated
cast: nah
pansmp: fuck it, you’re all already dead and only one of you can live
It would be so funny if pan!pyro ended up remembering the whole thing and randomly calls scott by his full legal name on a random Tuesday
nikos carrying scott around with one arm and scott sits on said shoulder all dainty, legs crossed and right where he wants to be.
The Vibes from Nikos Legundo. It's insane. Obviously the lightning is Zeus's blessing, but the booming voice, the laughter, the sheer joy of being alive! I love this guy. (I don't want him to win). But I love him.
I want to see him stop laughing and go on a killing spree. I want him to explode. I want him to go out with a giant bang and no one will ever forget him.
I don't want him to have to stand alone on a beach waiting forever.
Well done Legundo. Another one of the characters ever. This guy never misses with characters that make me want to devour my entire face. Man. What a character
Only thing I've seen legundo in before pansmp is vsmp and it's very fun to go from the cool-headed logical "do no harm" doctor to the boisterous, excited to fight, has a rage meter apparently??? Nikos. This guy's got range
THERES NOT ENOUGH HOURS IN A DAY
To me pan!Abolish looks like a man that is at his most handsome when he has just separated a man from his head, is covered in blood but still has a smile bursting with malicious intent, before kneeling before someone to pledge his undying loyalty.
(I've only watched Scott, Legundo and Abolish so far, I'll watch more later but I have to type this or I'll explode)
Scott and Abolish. The parallels. The Parallels!
Both entertainers (the theatre and arena)
Both very successful (Scott known far and wide even Drift recognised him, and Abolish in his opening showing he was the best)
Both betrayed (Scott killed by an jealous understudy and Abolish (slightly more vague but implied) stabbed in the back - by a jealous rival?student?)
Both know full well they're in entertainment again, but with a much more powerful audience.
Both willing to work with whomever to get as far as they can.
That look they give each other - when Shelby explains why she's blindfolded. And the two who died to betrayal - suddenly realise actually - all three of them did.
Also, the last scene, I cannot wait for next week and what Abolish is planning to do with Scott's wind charges.
I am so here for an Abolish Scott team up.
I am seated. The stewards are trying to tell me it's gonna be a week till the next episode, but I am simply too seated.
The pretty one! Uh...which pretty one?
