Scott’s magic responds to his emotions, especially intense ones. The anger that unlocked his first spell, the elation that unlocked his second, the awe that unlocked his third, the dread that unlocked his forth, and most recently the fear that unlocked his fifth. But what is fascinating is that it is not solely the spells that his ice magic is manifesting in.

His magic is getting stronger to the point where his room is getting icier. The newest development being that his hair now has blue roots and snowflakes dance around his head, only dissipating when he forces himself to calm down.

What’s worse is that he’s keeping the slowly changing icy blue hair and snowflakes a secret, probably because he himself is very afraid about what could be happening. He doesn’t wanna think about how these changes manifested after his fight with Pyro yesterday, he doesn’t wanna think about all the hurt he’s bottling up inside to the point where it’s warping his physical appearance, he doesn’t wanna think about being left behind again.

He has to stay strong, he has to stay capable, he has to keep it together no matter how much it hurts because if he doesn’t it’s only a matter of time before he shatters like ice in the warmth of spring. He can’t afford for that to happen, people need him after all.
