Pantheon SMP

Okay, so I'm pretty late to the news of a new POW smp, and I can't even voice how FREAKING EXCITED I am for itttttt! My jaw physically dropped when I found out. I also can't tell you all how proud of us as a community for the abbreviation. Pansmp.... It fits and I love it ❤️ Like one, its pride month 🏳️‍🌈 so it only makes sense. Two, the Greek god were literally cool with dating ANYTHING as long as it breathes so... Like I said, I'm proud of us ❤️ Anyways, here are my thoughts/predictions on what god everyone could be just based on their general vibe (this is with the guess that they'll end up being one of the main fourteen)

Abolish - Apollo, I'm kind of iffy about this one but I did see a post the he's going to be more colorful so...

Apo - Hades, I wanted to give her Artemis so, so bad but I doubt she'd do two star themed OCs back to back

Cleo - Demeter, the god is so underrated seeing as the moment she got pissed off the whole world went to shit, which I feel like is accurate for Cleo. Like, powerful in an unexpected way. Also, I think it'd be ironic seeing as Cleo's a zombie

Drift - Ares, I feel like CC Drift 100% wants one of her characters to be really reckless, seeing as V!Drift was about letting go, SBK!Drift was reckless but was kind of codependent on Scott (as far as I can tell), and tf!Drift is reckless in a controlled way. But as a god she'll be able to be as chaotic as she pleases without morality holding her back

Legs - Artemis, This just feels right. I can't explain it but it just does

Owen - Zeus, HE IS KING OF GODS! I was really between having this and Apo being Hades OR Apo being Artemis and him Apollo. This feels more accurate tbh (Owen COULD also be Hepaestus given his comment on the trailer, "My honeymoon was field research")

Pearl - Athena, Pearl is such a girlboss and so I need this. I love scary Pearl and good Pearl, this feels like the perfect combination of both

Pyro - Poseidon, I was debating giving him, Ren or Drift Ares but then I remembered that Pyro would 100% be trying to get the crown from Owen and be petty ❤️ (Apo could also potentially be Poseidon, but it feels more likely that her and Owen would be extreme opposites)

Sausage - Dionysus..... Must I say more?

Scott - Aphrodite, PETITION FOR SCOTT "I can't be bothered, I don't want to break a nail" MAJOR TO COME BACK! I NEED FLIRTY SCOTT BACK!

Shelby - Hestia, The god's power is being the heart of home ❤️ Shubble's characters are always so sweet, this would be so wholesome (could also be fun having her as Aphrodite seeing as she's going to have something with Drift anyways. Might as well make it myth-compliant)

Ren - Hephaetus, not my favorite choice for Ren, but I can see it

Martyn - Hermes, Help, Martyn as Hermes is perfect Istg if it doesn't happen I'm boycotting POW (third time I've used that threat. Each time it just gets emptier)

This is just kind of based on vibes, past OC choices, and (very very loosely) dynamics! Tell me what you think, and what your predictions are! ❤️

I've seen a couple of people suggest a Champion of Nyx Pearl for Pantheon SMP, so here is my take on that (this is NOT CANON OR CONFIRMED just something a few people have theorized about). I would've made her color palette darker but my darker markers are all dead, I'm still pretty happy with where this ended up.

One lesser-known fact about Nyx, she's one of the most protective greek goddesses when it comes to her children. While SOME of them chucked their children from Mount Olympus because they were ugly cough cough Hera cough cough Nyx loved each of them despite the fact that many were considered monsters. I'd imagine a champion would essentially be adopted into this family and under Nyx's protective wings, which is why you can see on Pearl's design there are some armor elements because Nyx would want to make sure she was safe.

I tried to make it look like the shadows were sort of being weaved from her fingers because I thought that would be fun.

I'm having so much fun designing these champions, and if there's any god or goddess champion that you want me to design LET ME KNOW IN MY REQUESTS!!! I would LOVE to! It doesn't even need to be for Pantheon SMP, it could be from the other MCYT fandoms that I'm in, cause these are genuinely so fun for me to draw.

Unlike my other designs I HAVE actually thought of a fun backstory for this one so that will be under the cut. Warning: extreme nerdiness about Greek history.

When Pearl was born she had this moon symbol near her eye, and her parents thought that was a sign from the gods that she needed to be given to them. They left her in the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus right before it burned down.

Nyx saw the newborn baby and decided to show mercy on it, keeping her in The Mansion of Night for a year before returning her to the overworld.

Before returning her, Nyx gave her a small illusion that covered the mark and leaving her in the town of Mecyberna. This town then burned as well when Pearl was 7 years old after being invaded by Phillip II. She managed to escape and wandered over to Olynthus, where Phillip attacked a year later. This pattern continued from Olynthus to Thrace, to Phocis.

This was when Nyx noticed her again, the child who she had once cared for in the middle of a war that seemed to follow her everywhere.

Once again showing her mercy, Nyx brought her back to The Mansion of Night where she trained Pearl to become her champion. Pearl, being human, wasn't able to learn much from the goddess but she took really well to Umbrakinesis (shadow manipulation) which she could use to create illusions of her own.

Pearl is now able to use her Moon Belt (gifted to her by Nyx) as sort of a switch to turn on and off the illusion that hides her mark whenever she wants, she can also change the illusion however she wants to.

Edit. GUYS SHE COULD BE BESTIES WITH THE KERES!!! GUYS!!! GUYS HERE ME OUT!!!

(The Keres were daughters of Nyx who feasted on blood from the battlefield)
