For me, the littlest things inspire me to keep going and to not end everything right where it is. For example, the faint smell of my mom cooking makes me want to keep going downstairs, the amazing stories and tweets online make me keep wanting to read, and the feeling of my head resting on my chilled pillow at 3 am in the night keeps me wanting to do the same thing every night. The very reason that keep me going is the thought of seeing myself as a senior in high school, living everything that i wanted to be like when i was younger because i would be an adult and i could things i wanted. Like diving off of a cliff into a lake, hanging out with friends until 4 am, going on long, never ending drives with my favorite people or just me, and the thought of being independent. I don't hate my parents, but i think my culture and religion don't have the right to oppress me after i become an adult, and the very thought of that makes me want to keep on going with life and getting hit and bruised by whatever hit me on the way, because at the end, i'll get my wish, and my wish comes with time. In my future, i see my self reacting to my future college acceptance, going on the senior trip to disney with all my friends, going to prom and then ditching because it was getting boring, graduating and throwing my 2024 class hat into the air, saying goodbye to my house and moving into college, going on small trips, working at a cafe, then getting into a med school and working so hard to pass, getting matched on match day, working as a surgical intern at a hospital, going to all my friends’ weddings and running away from the tossed bouquet, getting married, and finally, having 2 beautiful children and becoming a surgeon. I have so many obstacles on this dream journey to my future, the first and most difficult one to overcome, is the thought of what my parents would think. My parents hate the thought of me being independent before marriage, and the next one is my handwork and getting into med school and college. People tell me that i'm smart enough, except my motivation to do things is really low, so i need to fix that in order to go my dream pathway. I can probably get my parents to bend and i'm not sure how, but i'll figure it out. And lastly, i'll overcome my lack of hard work by reminding myself of the things i could do if i was independent.
