You felt the walls of the apartment vibrate as a loud thunder rolled outside. The sky darkened with thick, heavy clouds that loomed threateningly over the empty streets. Lying in bed, you tossed and turned incessantly, causing the bedsheet beneath you to wrinkle. You breathed out a defeated sigh, turning over to face the empty side of the bed with a longing look.
Is he still working on his bike?
As if to answer your silent question, your ears slightly perked up at the noise of a clattering tool downstairs, confirming your thoughts. You began to wonder just how long it would take for your boyfriend to finish fixing his bike. You knew that Inui has a passion for motorcycles, especially when it comes to fixing them. You could tell he enjoys the process of it, which stemmed from him watching someone he admired who did the same as well.
It was the reason why he had joined Draken in opening a motor shop together, just working and being surrounded by bikes all day. It was paradise to Inui. Based on the times you had quietly observed him in the shop, you’ve never seen anyone else in your life with such an intent look of concentration when they’re working over something. As though he was in his own world and nothing can distract him. But oftentimes, you would have to remind and drag him away to take a break from all that tinkering, otherwise, he would’ve completely gone on for hours on end.
With your eyes wide open now, they soon adjusted to the darkness of the room before glancing over at the digital clock on the nightstand. Its red, blinking numbers showed the time of a little past 1 a.m., which surprised you just how much time has flown.
He promised he would stop working past midnight.
As that thought lingered in your head, you eventually made the decision to get up and see what your boyfriend was still up to at this hour. Just as you cast the blanket aside, a flash of lightning occurred outside the window, causing you to tense up at the shoulders. It definitely looks like a heavy downpour was going to come down soon, which all the more urged you to bring Inui back into the apartment to rest.
After sliding on a pair of slippers, you cracked the door open slowly so as to not make a noise. Draken is probably already fast asleep in his room, so you didn’t want to disturb his slumber after the long day he had. Seeing that you’ve created a big enough gap, you slipped out of the room and made your way over to the stairs.
From above, you saw some of the lights in the garage were still on, illuminating the space below. Music playing on the radio reached your ears as you carefully padded down the stairs. The closer you got, the clearer the music sounded as you reached the landing.
Immediately, you noticed the garage door was lifted open, allowing cool air to travel inside as it carried the smell of rain approaching. And working just right outside the garage was the sight of Inui’s back facing towards you, working tirelessly away as he quietly hummed to the music playing on the radio. He was still dressed in his work uniform with the shop name imprinted on the back, and after spotting a few cans of energy drink surrounding him, you knew he was fighting with exhaustion.
Still unaware of your presence, you decided to interrupt the silence, “I see you’re still working on your bike.”
The sound of your voice startled Inui as he slightly jumped in his seat, almost dropping the tool he was holding in the process. You watch as he slowly turned to look over his shoulder, noting his weary features that softened when you guys locked eyes.
“Yeah, I am,” Inui sheepishly replied as he awkwardly scratched the back of his head. “I know I said I’ll come to bed with you before midnight, but I’m almost done getting my bike fixed up so I’m trying to push through while I can.”
You lightly shook your head with a chuckle. “Don’t push yourself too hard, alright?”
“Alright, love.” He shot you a warm smile. “But what are you still doing up?”
“I couldn’t sleep, so I decided to check up on you,” you answered while fiddling with your thumbs. “Plus, it's going to rain soon so I thought of calling you back inside.”
Inui cast a glance up in the sky where he saw strokes of lightning dancing amongst the cloud. “Ah damn… I really wanted to finish getting my bike repaired.”
“How much longer will it take?” you asked.
“Uhm, probably fifteen minutes,” Inui replied. “I just have to rewire parts of the ignition and then I’ll be done. Why?”
“Okay, I’ll stay down here with you then,” you said, plopping down right next to him.
Inui’s green eyes widened in surprise. “Are you sure? It might get a little boring…”
“I’m sure,” you nodded your head. “Besides, it’s better than lying all alone in the room.”
Hearing your little teasing jab made towards him, you were taken by surprise when Inui leaned in to give an apologetic kiss to your lips. Almost instantaneously, you melted into the kiss as the scent of petrol mixed with his sweat greeted your senses. You could even taste the tangy sweetness from the energy drink he had on his stained tongue, making you crave him for more.
But after a while, you felt him pulling away before resting his forehead against yours while his hot breath fanned your cheeks. “After I’m done with this, I promise you’ll get extra cuddles tonight, alright?”
“Deal,” you giddily replied, feeling high off from the kiss you guys just shared together.
The corner of Inui’s lips tugged into a smirk as he sees your blushing cheeks. Unable to resist them, he pecked them with a kiss on each cheek before pulling away once again and getting right back to work on his bike.
The radio continued to play songs to fill the silence in the garage. You silently observe Inui’s movements as he made a couple of tweaks here and there. It was almost fascinating to watch as he expertly sort out the maze of gears and wires inside the vehicle. A few times you had asked some questions about what this part does and what is it for, and Inui diligently answered them while still fixated on his bike.
Seeing him like this, you decided to stay quiet again to let him finish up quickly. You gaze at his gloved hands that were focused on pairing wires together. Your eyes then began to trail up along his arms before finally settling to admire his features. Behind those calm green eyes of Inui’s was sparking a determined look that wanted nothing more than to succeed.
His tongue was sticking out slightly in between his pinkish lips now as beads of perspiration rolled down from his temples. His brows furrowed, causing lines to appear on his forehead as Inui made one final adjustment before announcing, “I...I think I’m done.”
Snapping yourself back to reality, you asked, “Are you sure?”
“Well, I’ll have to turn the ignition on to see for itself,” he answered, getting up and stretching his limbs after staying seated on the ground for so long. You followed suit, accepting the outstretched hands in front of you as he helped you up as well.
“I hope everything works out okay,” you said, rubbing your hands anxiously together.
“I hope so too.” Inui then turned to face you as he keyed the ignition in. “Ready?”
You nodded your head with pursed lips.
“Three…two…one.” As Inui twisted the key in a clockwise direction to switch on the engine battery, the both of you waited in bated breath together for the result. The low rumbling of the motor started off, slowly growing louder and louder with each passing second. Then, one by one, each part of the vehicle came to life as the headlight flickers awake, shining brightly like a beacon against the night.
Shifting your gaze to look at Inui, that undeniable victory grin on his lips told you everything you needed to know as he fist-bumped the air.
“Yes, it’s finally working!” he cheered excitedly, feeling proud of the hard work that has been accomplished. “It’s really working, babe!” He then turned to face you, his green eyes sparkling with contagious happiness that you couldn’t help but share.
His arms automatically wrapped around your waist as he lifted you up in the air and twirled around in circles. Your feet sailed through the air as you let out a squeal of glee while clinging ever so tightly around his neck to hold onto him.
“I’m really happy for you, Inui,” you managed to say through fits of giggle.
“Thanks, love,” he murmured, pressing his face against the crooked of your neck as he slowed to a stop and set you back down gently.
The moment your feet were planted firmly onto the ground, a familiar tune on the radio soon plays. You and Inui turned to look at each other with knowing looks forming on your faces as you felt him leading you out of the garage and onto the open street. Your skin prickled with goosebumps as a chilly wind brushed past, making you huddle closer to him where his body radiated warmth.
In the dead of the night when the clouds above were thundering and the headlight from his motorcycle shines a single spotlight on the two of you, your bodies began swaying along to the music that took you back to the early days of your relationship. It was both of your favourite songs to listen to together, and if you were to have a soundtrack that describes your relationship, it would most likely be this.
Despite neither of you know how to properly dance, you just let the music flow and guided your bodies to the melody. The streets were empty, so there was no one to judge when one of you make a mistake, which only resulted in heaps of laughter ringing into the night sky.
As the song gradually reached its climax, tiny droplets of water started kissing your cheeks as they fell from above. It was slow at first, before it suddenly came down all out at once as rain shower upon both your figure, immediately drenching you from head to toe. However, that did not stop you guys from dancing as you spun into Inui’s chest for the big finale. His strong arms are wrapped tightly and protectively around your body, holding you impeccably close as you try to catch your breath.
Peering up at him through your lashes, both your faces were mere inches apart from each other as your breaths mixed and mingled together. You watch his gaze fall onto your lips, and sensing what was about to come next, you decide to initiate the kiss first by standing on your tippy toes and pressing your lips to his.
Your eyelids flutter closed as one of his cold hands cupped your wet cheeks and pulled you deeper into the kiss. His tongue gently brush along your bottom lip as your mouth parted, allowing him to explore inside. It was sweet, teasing, and passionate as your freezing hands gripped the collar of his uniform, tugging him closer as you pour out every emotion you were feeling right now, hoping Inui could feel them too.
And it seemed like Inui did as his lips formed a grin as he kisses you with more fervour now and reciprocated back those emotions. Time passed, and eventually, you guys pulled away from each other after running out of air. With the rain still hitting and splashing on the both of you, Inui planted one last kiss on your forehead before saying, “Let’s head back inside and get dried up so we could cuddle right after. How does that sound?”

Now I have a pretty obvious Squad 11 tattoo, because I’m a Bleach nerd and Zaraki Kenpachi is my husband, and honestly it’s difficult to hide it in some of my cosplays because it’s bright and black and right smack dab on my shoulder. Poor planning on my part but hey, squad represent.

I just saw this post the other day from the admin for the A3! Wiki (at yaycupcake).
I won’t rehash too much, since the post says it all, but the admin currently pays server costs out of their own pocket and the increased traffic to the website is causing costs to go up. They no longer have the means to support the costs on their own and are looking for help from the A3! community!
I think that almost every A3! fan has gone to this Wiki at least once, and I know that tons of us content creators rely on it extensively (I know I do, at least).
